Great hunt guys, thanks for taking us along on your journey it was sweet!!! Lots of boots on the ground and time glassing up critters!!! I was hoping you would all get one but it doesn't always work out that way, but think of all the memories you made with your buddy's that's what it all about!!! That was a killer hunt, way to go fellows...

I did. Dialed in at a 200 yard zero with no turret. 100% should have worked for a better rest on the 1st buck. Didn't check to see if the dial was at zero lock on my VX5 until I got home. It was turned about 15 clicks high which would move my POI 14 inches. I don't know if it was that way in the field and why my shots were that bad, but it wasn't good enough and I needed to double check it in the moment. Thanks for asking and watching!

@joesal999 lots of factors. I've done the same. Now I constantly check my scope turret. As well as shoot my rifle out to long distance 500+ loved the video. Good memories

Mule deer numbers in Region 7 are at a ten-year low. Killing these two- year old bucks is just dumb. Those bucks need at least 3 more years. Additionally, you fail to follow Montana's regulation concerning wearing "Hunter Orange. Here's the law: "Montana law requires that all big game hunters and those accompanying them (including guide/outfitter) must wear at least 400 square inches of Hunter Orange above the waist. A hat or cap alone is not sufficient. (Exception: bow hunters during special archery season.)" Wearing it under your pack is the same as wearing orange underwear under your coat. Shooting under-age bucks, failure to wear visible "Hunter Orange", and poor marksmanship. Solid reasons why Montana should stop nonresident hunting. Go home, don't come back.

Several things need to be done to get our mule deer heard back to pre-2013 numbers. Hard to stay where to start but reducing pressure is the first. Maybe only allow youth hunters for about 3-5 years. Then have all areas become permit with actual numbers not unlimited. Or only allow buck hunting based on ALS number. Even years get to hunt a buck with even Al’s number. No doe hunting.
