The hard thing about predictions, is you never know how someone will look on stage. I've been watching the Olympia for as long as I can remember, and it just is what it is on show day.... People come in off or not at their best, some people shock you. The predictions are really just for fun, but so many people put too much stock in them

Here's what I want to see happen: Hadi reclaims his title, Derek loses all his wow factor (and the new details from the front seen in his gym pics) when he's dieted all the way down and places 3rd, and Nick Walker comes in unreal condition because he's got something to prove after missing the show last year, and comes in 2nd. After that, it's anybody's guess.

There is no world in which Derek wins the most muscular. He gets destroyed in condition and detail from the front and just doesn't look impressive. And for the front double, he is good, but he isn't winning the pose.

Solid lineup. I’m roughly with you (one can really never know in bb), with Rafa and Andrew as potential breakouts. If either of these two come in looking more massive, full, and ripped, given that the judges are waiting and wanting either or both of them to take the #1 spot… they could skyrocket upward.

Apparently according to the Miami bodybuilding scene Nicholas 270 a week ago and the last time they overheard him he was 266. He's only 10 lb off his stage weight. Every time I saw him though on Facebook it did not look like skull face at all. I love Nick as you know and I think he needs to get some help. I think that the girl was just about enough to make him snap and then the negativity that he got from the New York sent him over the top. I really hope he talks to somebody

We had 8 for 8 last year and we were right on time. That's pretty incredible that we have six of the top eight in order again. This is fair, but no way Andrew beats Nick in side or back poses & thats 4/8 poses. Overall Andrew could get the nod, not sure about pose for pose

@@goatfitness Andrew’s side chest is bad but his side tricep (not counting his unjudged variant) is actually not bad, he just needs to hold it longer. Also Nick has a good BDB but in his back lat spread the actual back is not rounded at the bottom or dense. Andrew has less hamstring detail but his actual back is more round and 3D and he is wider. That’s why I think 4/8 is the best Nick can hope for and then he would still lose bc tiebreaks are going to the guy who puts it all together better and Andrew also poses well. Lastly Andrew has less weaknesses. He has good leg size from the front and the best midsection, Nicks biggest flaws

I really believe that Nick throws the entire lineup into disarray, i think nick will makes a rock paper scissors. Nick looks good against hadi and derek, hadi and derek look good against samson, and samson looks good against nick, with nick gone last year it was clear hadi and derek beat samson but i wouldnt be surprised in having nick in there actually makes all 4 positions volatile.

I don't think the judges are counting it strictly poses won vs poses lost; Derek is weak in all the front shots, and so would draw vs a bunch of guys-for example Brandao , who isn't even locked in for 1st callout.

@@streetspirit956 well there is the official ifbb men's open rules document. But I find that it still leaves a lot up to interpretation. For example it states that the judges look for mass, conditioning, shape and so on, but it isn't really quantified in any way. How much weight each metric carries towards the end result is unclear.

All of this analysis by content creators and ex bodybuilding experts on their podcasts all breaking down each pose saying this guy wins this pose, that guy wins this pose, this guy is 4th in this pose etc but it doesn't appear that this is how the judges actually do score it and breakdown all the poses. Are you sure Heath won every pose against Rhoden when he lost to him? Doesn't make a lot of sense.

@goatfitness I don't know if I can agree that Hunters gap in density/muscle maturity is wide enough to negate not only Martin's better shape, structure, and abs but the glaring distractions on Hunters physique would also make up the rest of the difference that Martin's aesthetics doesn't cover like Hunters pec and hernia. My pick last year and even this year would be Hadi as a fan. But objectively speaking, I have to put in Derik in # 1 this year. I've noticed that guys that have knockout back and back poses always seem to have an edge in open BB. Phil, Ronnie, Dorian, to name in recent history. Just like these past multiple times Mr O, Derik's back shots is untouchable. Only time I've seen these type of dominant guys from the back lose is when their midsection blows out. Derik is not at that stage right now.

Well you and I are very close I believe we have the same guys but different order unlike last year where we were identical. My placings are also what I think the judges are going to do not what I think would be right. Not that there's a huge difference. In 12th place William the conqueror bonak and he will retire after the show. 11th place I have a King William's. Hakeem. In 10th place and not on your list anywhere Mo fouda. In 9th place Martin and I can see akeem actually beating him and switching places. Like you said he needs more mature muscle to be with the top guys. Now the realest begins and we are very similar. 8th place Hunter labrada. Way more muscle than Martin and will be more conditioned than Moe. Hunters on the cusp of needing to retire also. 7th place I have Brandon Curry. We have no idea what he's going to look like so that is an absolute guess. Sixth place and I could see this guy as high as fourth Raphael brandeo. 5th place and I believe it will be a battle Andrew. Andrew and Rafa have the two prettiest bodies in the show and that is going to be a war. Fourth place hottie Chopin. I've become a big fan of Hadiput his body is starting to look tired and very damaged from oil. I have Samson 3rd and I believe him and haddie will do battle for 3rd and 4th. Samsung still won't bring the conditioning but he looks a little bit better and he has a very nice physique. This is the one mainly that I think will be about judging and their decision and that is Nick Walker second 🥈. That of course leaves Derek first. I believe this is going to be the biggest battle because Nick out sizes him he's an only an inch taller and he's going to be 25 lb bigger on stage and his conditioning is always been better than Derek's. Not only that, Nick gives Derek all he can handle from behind and that's the only guy in the show who can stand next to Derek from behind and whoop his ass from the side and the front is probably going to go to Nick but I don't see the judges giving it to him. The battle between Nick and Derek will be epic. I don't like Derek's physique and everybody who watches your channel knows that and I don't think he deserves to be hottie chupin last year but as you said politics because he's the clean cut American guy that they want to be Mr Olympia. So once again my order is Derek the Nick than Samson then hottie than Andrew then Raphael then Brandon and Hunter . I believe we have the same top eight in different order. I'm not sure if I told you or not but I was privy to an update from the Miami bodybuilding scene and this could be an unfair advantage in calling the top eight because Nick has given us nothing to judge on until this and it was taken by a phone illegally. I don't know how they know his weight maybe they heard him talking but they said he was 266 dry in the morning and he is absolutely shredded. His conditioning is reminiscent of last year 2 weeks out and the Arnold 2 weeks out. However, he's seven or eight pounds bigger. He looks cartoonish and his legs are hands down the best they've ever been. I really hope the judge is open their eyes and take a good look at him and Derek because we know who they want to win. It is a pro sport. The marketing value and nationality often plays a role in the placings. The Middle East is a growing and lucrative market, Brasil is a huge and growing market, Europe is a market with few ties to the US industry, the US is by far the biggest market asf. So, you will always have representatives of these markets and how they are weighted by the industry in the top placings. Ambassadors for the sport are ambassadors for the markets.

Samsung has beat Andrew every time they've competed against each other and so has Hadi and so has nick. And so has Derek. Andrew has a beautiful physique from the front but he has zero from the waist down from behind and he is stringy from the side. The head judge has a hard-on for him so maybe he wins the Olympia. I can’t see how Derek wins. He’s terrible from the front and he’s not lights out from the side. He wins both back poses but those are his only wins. He literally wins no front shots. Front double…no. Front lat….no. Ab and thigh….no. Most muscular……no. Does he win side chest? No. Side tricep. No. In some of these shots he’s not even a top 5 guy. Bodybuilding has to get away from politics or “best representative of the sport” and just reward the best looking physique.
