Kieth you are so main stream driven. What about thinking of getting younger studs , markenen , deni Avdija, kelden Johnson. Always going for the older guys, that’s the obvious and it’s going to take all the cap space. We need 8 guys two way players come playoffs time we don’t go crazy minus when the starters are resting.

Keith Pompey is being too generous. Upside??? McCain is slow, not good defensively and is 6'1. McCain is Seth Curry at best which means Sixers drafted a journeyman.

This is a silly take. Like first this draft was billed as the weakest in recent memory even by nba front office officials. And yet people are crying over the picks which boggles my mind. Sixers picked at 16. And you’re crying they found a Seth curry who is a viable shooter/floor spacer that the Sixers had/used during his time here. Name the prospect you wanted so we can check back and bash your eye for talent.

We have the Phillies and the eagles yall, screw the sixers. I was mad when the fans didn’t show up in the playoffs but now I appreciate it. That team takes the fans for granted. There’s been times they’ve told us they don’t want us. The sixers front office and ownership is so bad that I have developed a much much higher appreciation of the eagles and Phillies to the point that I don’t wanna criticize them now or in the future at any extent. They care about the team and the fans, sixers are a circus. We need to leave them alone

@@skillz78 There's a huge difference between being a good player and a player who can actually be a number 1 or 2 on a championship team. Maxey has in no way proven that he can be such a player. So, yeah, five years at least.

@@Hemingway-dq4fx you said real contributor. So no there is no 5 year wait for that. Don’t move goal posts bro. He avg 17, 20 and 26ppg (years 2-4). In the playoffs avg 20 twice and last post season 29ppg where we saw him explode without Embiid. He’s won MIP and made the All Star by age 23 (by year 4). He’s been contributing since year 2. Kentucky guards are almost (not all) sure locks to be productive NBA players fast. Maxey is for sure a #2 on a title contender. He was next to the MVP until injury once again sidelined him. And I’m thankful we didn’t trade Maxey for Dame Lillard

He got exposed in the playoffs, so, sorry, if the goal is to actually get past the second round, he hasn't shown yet that he is a player that can actually do that. Here's the reality of the situation, they are about a year away from trading Embiid and going into rebuild mode. So please excuse me if I'm not excited about some guy they took at 16 in 2024.

You don’t lose any energy, muscle mass, money etc A 23yr old rising star who didn’t need 5 years got exposed? Not sure how exactly. He was the bright spot of the playoffs. I agree with you on the dumpster fire. I have zero clue what Morey is doing at this point. Free agency (and maybe trade?) will be very telling on what direction this team is going. Not getting past the 2nd rd has grown old much like Embiid never being fully healthy when we need him the most. I also agree that the 16 pick isn’t a needle mover. Be it McCain or even Dalton. I’m seeing Seth curry at best but I too am not hype/excited over the pick. This was a weak draft and I’m not going to forget that and hype up McCain. We just disagree on it take 5 years.

Just has to be trade in works. Maxey is more athletic and shot is weapon now. McCain does look like high character player but he will be eaten alive defensively. He needs to be on team with wing and pg who are taller and can play defense.
