Spurs would probably prefer Risascher if they could. They're probably gonna trade for a PG like Trae rather than developing one from scratch which takes too much time for Wemby's timeline. Their owner also went to France to watch Risascher play
@Kharmahymm
@Kharmahymm 9 ай бұрын
I don't think they'd get Trae because he averages the most turnovers in the league with 4.33 as well as lacks defense to an already struggling defensive team that also averages lots of turnovers. The picks that ATL wants could potentially be converted into several lottery picks. More risk than reward for Trae. It's like trading PG and Shai. Sure PG is good, but now look at OKC with all their young drafted talent. This is what the Spurs has to do. If they wanna trade, get someone cheaper and efficient like Dennis Schröder

It’s nice to get a player that can be a shooter and playmaker lol. It helps spread the floor and makes his teammates a lethal threat if done right. Or maybe a defensive playmaker slasher. Then again Defense can always be taught with more game experience …. Hopefully

@@unlockedaccount Ok, I'm French and half black, stop calling people of color immigrants, please. We're no immigrants. Our parents are all born in France and sometimes even our grandparents. Not to mention, people like myself are half white so half our family has been there for centuries. Do you also call "immigrants" black Americans? Maybe you think french people are all white but France is actually the most mixed country in the world after America. Most french people have other origins whether it is other European countries (like Italy, Portugal, Spain, or Eastern Europe) or they have African or Asian origins due to colonization from centuries ago. France mainland has been mixed for more than a century now. People like Wemby or Risacher to talk about current prospects are not descendants of recent immigrants but from families well integrated in France for lifetimes. And hald their DNA is white folks who've been in France for longer than any American in America... Please stop this ignorant type of racism when you talk about sports.

God the Thunder are in such an amazing position to already be a title contender and then have two lottery picks to take swings on really high upside guys like Castle and Salaun. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Spurs take a shot at Salaun though if the Toronto pick conveys but late enough that Sheppard, Dillingham, and Buzelis are off the board.

As a Spurs fan if they have picks #3 and #7 I think I'd much rather take Williams and Sheppard, assuming Risacher is gone in the top 2 and Dillingham goes top 6. The team desperately needs shooting around Wemby and neither Topic nor Buzelis provide it. Though Buzelis has been shooting well as of the last ten games or so, so if that continues I'd be much more open to taking him. Topic still has a lot to prove in Euroleague for me to believe he's worth a top 3 pick.

Spurs should not draft Topic. Yes he is an elite play maker but he has injury concerns and is a very bad defender. They should go for someone like Risacher who has the potential to be an elite 3 and d wing in the NBA. Which is rare in the modern NBA. Feels like Filipowski fits OKC better than Salaun. He can be a true backup to Chet so playstyle doesn't change with Holmgren off the court, which is where OKC struggles now. OKC is starting to need older and more seasoned off the bench rookies. Salaun appears to be a carbon copy of Dieng who can already barely get minutes because he can't play with enough force for a PF and makes terrible passes, and Salaun's negative asst/turn ratio would scare me off. I also like PG Hall for OKC, and could see them trading up for Cody Williams with both UTA/HOU picks, and trying to take Hall at the top of the 2nd round by buying back in.
@Wrestle_Kingdom

I kinda agree as a okc fan I think okc should not go after guys who are gonna be projects and go after players who have more experience and been in college for some time I think salaun fits in terms of okc playstyles but not in terms of what okc needs in terms of a project, Cody Williams I like and wouldn’t be mad if okc drafted him but do we really need another guy who a scorer but at the same time don’t know much about the draft I rather them go after a guy kinda like tidjane but more experience because we need a backup big and another power forward

@@Wrestle_Kingdom I'll be pissed if the Spurs pass twice on Cody Williams to the point he'd be available for you guys lol. I'd definitely take a swing on Castle if I'm OKC though. Chip Engelland taught Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard how to shoot and they both had horrendous jumpshots before working with him. Parker had an almost set shot and Leonard used to pull the ball back behind his head on his jumper, but Engelland made both of their jumpers textbook. If Castle learns to shoot the three he'd be the second best player in this draft, and if there is anyone who could teach him to shoot it's Engelland. God I'm mad the Spurs lost him. If Chip was still in San Antonio I'd want Williams #3 and Castle at #7.

@@homerthompson416 I guess but I don’t see the reason if okc can’t develop him we already have shai,Cason,jdub,and Joe all guards who gonna play adding another guard wouldn’t help castle it would be hard for him to get minutes especially if he can’t shoot because okc coach already sitting Giddey and sometimes dort because they can’t shoot He needs to go somewhere that he would have an actual opportunity to play that why okc just traded two guards at the deadline because we couldn’t play them because their no need for them when we need a big forward and a backup 5

@@homerthompson416 That Raptors pick could easily stay with Toronto since it's top 6. I could also see this being a draft that a 5 or 6 (where I see Cody going) team trades down in, because there is an unusual parity of talent from about 5-12, and OKC is likely to have 2 picks between 8-12 unless Jazz fall apart. I do like Castle, so I don't think that's a terrible pick for OKC because of Chip like you mentioned.

As a Rockets Fan and someone who actively listens to Rockets discussions, I think its likely that they Draft a big. I would hope they draft Donovan because besides shooting, a serviceable big is desperately needed for this team. The Rockets need a big with a defensive oriented skillset that's good at rebounding and can either shoot the 3, or be good in the P&R. I would be really disappointed if we don't get Donovan. I feel like this is our perfect opportunity. He's not Ranked in that top 7 area and can very well fall to the Rockets. I know we just recently acquired Steven Adams, but He's 30 (turning 31 this year) Coming off a BIG injury. I'm a big fan of Steve, but I don't see him as long term for the rockets. We can draft Donovan and have him be mentored by both Steve and Sengun, maybe even getting back up PF minutes, until its time he takes over in the rotation. On the flip side, theres a very strong possibility Adams can be in a package to trade for a Star. While I acknowledge the scoring of Reed Sheppard, I think the Rockets would much rather fill that bench depth with trusted 3&D (Vets) that are a bit more reliable.

Cody Williams would be a great fit for the Blazers. Donovan Clingon works if they move on from RW3. If not, they need scoring. How about Dalton Knecht?

@juliatarter7513 8 ай бұрын
Donovan Clingon is a big risk I would rather see the blazers avoid, no doubt dude has talent but he has been injury prone in collage, last time the drafted a guy like that it was Greg oden and we seen how that turned out

@juliatarter7513 Good point. I've also backed off Cody Williams. I now prefer a shooter like Dalton Knecht and a big like Tyler Smith, both of whom are attainable with the Blazers' two number one picks.

Trash. Memphis taking a PG that high like Ja isn’t only 24. Buddy was injured for 1 season so I don’t want to hear it and it’s cause we were ass when he came back anyways.
