Wow, sometimes you leave me...SMH! You acknowledge the Packers are Oline U and then downplay Morgan and Monk. Belichick says Morgan is a LT...one of the few taken in the early rounds (most were RT's). Cowboys, Commanders, et al were prepared to take him in the 1st round...and Gutey stayed pat and let him fall to them. An Oregon assistant msg'd congrats to the Packers as Evan Williams was their best defender. The new kickoff rule suggest teams may have 2 returners. Nixon and a 220lb Lloyd is a helluva tandem. Yes, 3 safeties taken but one may be a post, another a box, and the 3rd may play the slot. Also Gutey filled a major need by taking the top rated LB Cooper and did so by trading back picking up 5th and 6th rounders. I don't think the drafting of 7th round QB Pratt is talked about enough. Tom Clements will get the most out of him.

@@thenightmancometh93 Maybe not harsh, but they definitely undersold their draft. Then they spooge over the Bears, who are crap up front on both sides of the ball but decided to draft a receiver who cant separate with a top 10 pick. Packers already had one of the best olines in football and added one of the best left tackles in the draft (most tackles in this draft are right tackles). They also added the universally top ranked linebacker in the draft, the highest graded safety in the draft (per PFF), and the best rb in the draft (per Daniel Jeremiah). The few needs the Packers had, they addressed aggressively and now have a stacked roster with few weaknesses. But PFF never gives them any credit cuz theyre big city elitists just like the big tv networks.

I love PFF but your draft grades are meaningless. You had three teams with a C grade (C+ C & C-). No one lower. A C should be average. You should grade relative to all 32 teams. Yes it takes some courage to give a team an F but if you want to be a meaningful show, display the courage of your beliefs.
@DreadPages6 ай бұрын
Depends on what you're grading. Grading a choice doesn't mean the overall grade should be low. Because a player could have a bad grade based on position taken in draft, but the draft still remains an overall positive.

@@DreadPagesabsolutely true for individual players but when grading an overall draft, what are you comparing it to? The easiest thing to compare to are the other teams. NO ONE EVER Knows what the raiders are doing. Nothing against Brock Bowers BUT Tight End was NOT A "Position of Need". The raiders drafted the best TE in last year's draft (Michael Mayer) THEN.........Never bothered to use him!!!! Corner, Right Tackle, and Linebacker were the Positions of "need". And fortunately.........Corners and Tackles were in abundance in this years draft. If they had simply kept Jermaine Eluemor at Right Tackle instead of letting go in Free Agency to the Giants.........Tackle would not be a "Position of Need". But since they created the situation themselves.........why not draft Fuaga out of Oregon State or Amarius Mims out of Georgia or Troy Fautanu out of Washington???? Instead they wait until the Third Round and REACH for Delmar Glaze out of Maryland????? And if you couldn't get an Elite Corner out of this Draft......you simply weren't trying.........and of course the raiders never seem to try and draft quality players. Quinyon Mitchel out of Toledo, Nate Wiggins out of Clemson, and Terrion Arnold out of Alabama were ALL STILL AVAILABLE when the raiders picked at #13 in the first round!!! Mike Sainristil out of Michigan or Kool Aid McKinistry out of Alabama or Renardo Green out of Florida State are a few more Corners who are all better than what they have on their current roster............but the raiders wait to address this "Position of Need" UNTIL THE FOURTH ROUND??? Tommy Eichenberger out of Ohio State isn't an "All Around" Linebacker because he's a liability in coverage. Linebackers weren't the strongest Draft Group this year, but Edgerin Cooper out of Texas A & M, Junior Colston out of Michigan , or Payton Wilson out of NC State were better options which the raider's "passed on" and let other Teams scoop them up. Bad Draft Decisions are why the raiders haven't won a Playoff Game since 2002, and 2024 will be no different. Las Vegas deserves a flashy, hi profile, winning Team........and they get STUCK with the raiders!!!!!
