Gonna have to disagree with the statement that Josh Allen should win MVP for sure. If he had 2 and Lamar Jackson had 0, Lamar would be the favorite. That shows that in reality he deserves it, or Saquon if he gets the record. Has Allen played amazingly? Yes. Would his stats look a whole lot worse without 1 yard touchdowns? Also yes.

You talk about who they’ve lost to but Lamar literally beat Josh in the head to head, and anyway the Ravens would be 15-1 if Tucker made kicks at even a league average rate this season, and that has nothing to do with Lamar. The Bills are 3-3 against playoff teams including one of the worst QB performances in NFL history against Houston while the Ravens are 7-3 against playoff teams. But the point that destroys your argument is that the Bills have actually won games without Allen playing well, while the Ravens have not won games without Lamar playing well. This means that no, the Ravens would not be better off without Lamar. The Bills are 4-2 when Josh Allen passes for a rating under 100. The Ravens are 0-5 when Lamar Jackson passes for a rating under 114, which is a higher rating than any other QB has on the season. 2024 Lamar Jackson is 2nd all time in both passer rating and yards per attempt, while Josh Allen doesn’t even come close. On a per play basis, Lamar is leagues better. Preseason narratives should not impact the race either, because by that logic MVP is Sam Darnold, but I don’t see you advocating that. Remember, the award is “most valuable player”, not “player who proved people wrong”. Name literally any stat at random other than rush touchdowns, Lamar is better in that stat, and likely by a significant margin.
