At 14 if available: Eiserman, Iginla, Brandsegg-Nygard, Sennecke, Connelly. Just try and outscore everyone. 😁

My prediction for your next prospect profile is Beckett Sennecke (when you do that it's pronounced Sen-Nick-uh).

Funny. I don't mind that Will Smith didn't get the Hobey Baker award anymore.

Smith has a bit more of a chip on his shoulder imho, he’s underrated and will over perform during a long career!

Great show guys! I closely followed the Sharks from 1991-2019. Sharks rebuild looks interesting. Hope they can score with this draft.

1991-2019 so you just gave up following the team after they stopped being good :/

I wonder if he'll be healthy for the scouting combine or if he'll still be injured. I could see that affecting where he lands, if GM's are able to see him healthy and he's able to put his athleticism on display.

There is actually so many good choices at 14. And if you want to move up/down theres alot of solid players everywhere.

I hope they go a different direction at 14.

Can’t help myseľ but this guy screams to my face that he’s a future bust. Even when I saw more detailed stats, Tomáš Galvas who’s not even projected as a 1st rounder looked way better. And when I watched the U18, Galvas looked like a best defenseman of Czechia. I would rather take best player available than Jiříček tbh. And then in 2nd round pick someone from Frejs, Wallenius, Badinka, Galvas, Solberg or Hutson if he falls to the 2nd round. The other option of course is to trade up and pick Buium. But who knows what Mike wants. So curious to see what they’ll do in Vegas.

I feel like we should trade up for Sam Dickinson, someone who can do it all. and try to grab an Alfons freij with 42. If we stay at 14 should probably go with a Beckett Sennecke or MBN. Celebrini, Beckett Sennecke, Badinka, and Freij would be so exciting with our first 4 picks.

To trade up for Dickinson you are probably going to have to give up 33 & 42

I don't like knee injuries. If you can get a healthy player that has skill, do that. Hertyl looks slower than other players with all his knee injury history. Pavelski is struggling to keep up with faster skaters in the playoffs.
@LockedOnSharks6 ай бұрын
Pavelski never had knee injuries, he's just 40.

The Sharks really don't have a good history with drafting defensemen in the first round. Actually they really don't have a good history there at all, they've never drafted a difference maker. I say that is a postion they should worry about in free agency or through trades. Same thing with goaltending. Sparsely draft dmen and goalies load up on centers and wingers and use the surplus as trade bait.

@@operasinger2126 🤣🤣 No he wasn't. Doug highly overrated him. Braun was the one who made Vlasic look better....👍 I've watched the Sharks since the beginning and they've had plenty of defensemen that were more effective than him, on his own. Braun was underrated for what he did. Vlasic was not a good passer and panicked when pressured. He was always throwing passes into Braun's skates and leaving him vulnerable, but Braun would get the puck out of harms way. On breakouts Vlasic was a very slow decision maker and would often turn his body slowly in the direction he was going to pass like someone just learning to do it. The only place Vlasic did excel was positioning and he was a decent penalty killer. But if you had him on the ice with the top two lines, more often than not the forwards were gonna be spending a good portion of their shift in the d zone, because he was not good at the breakout. Not teying to tear you down or anything. I'm just going by what I've witnessed over the last 30 something years

@@LockedOnSharks oh I know it's a different regime. But the prior 2 regimes were not adept at it either.....and Doug was a dang defenseman. All of the real good defensemen they've had have been acquired somewhere other than the draft. The Sharks are good at drafting 4th, 5th and 6th d-men. But those top tier one's they swing for, they miss. I'm not really too impressed yet with anyone that Mike has brought in, so far. I fear the choice they might make if they use the 14th pick on one. That's not a place to be reaching for defensemen. You pick best player available at that time. The end of the first round.....there you can reach a bit. Maybe they can package those 2 second rounders and take a shot near the end of the first round.
