Sinner doesn't play tennis, he plays geometry and the laws of physics. He's an unbeatable tennis-engineer. Rafa was the Beast, Roger the King, Djoko the Joker, Jannick the Engineer.

What many still haven't really understood is that Sinner's true strength is his desire to always improve. In two or three years he will be a different player, even more complete, stronger and more resistant than now. Why? Because he wants it.

I did not think I'll ever see another player that could play like peak Djokovic. And it happened so quickly while Djokovic is still on tour. Sinner is unbelievable and he is all set to do many great things in the future. Best wishes to him, to Alcaraz and to may be couple more great players that will add along with way. Hopefully next year it could be Fonseca's breakthrough year.🤞🏽

I think Fonseca needs at least two or three more years to really emerge. But I agree with you.

@bryanomalley7890 Just to preface this, I prefer Sinner to Djokovic and Alcaraz. Sinner hits the ball harder than Djokovic, which can make players feel worse on court. Casper Ruud mentioned this after the semifinal that they played. However, so does Alcaraz, and so did Nadal, and so did Federer. You feel worse during any given shot in a rally against any of those guys. Yet, Djokovic has beaten them all more often than they beat him, and 36 year old Djokovic was beating 22 year old Sinner in straight sets. Peak Djokovic could force errors out of his opponents by simply staying in the rally longer than any one else in history. He was beat them down gradually until they had nothing to give. Sinner is great, but he ain't that guy. At least not yet. He may well be someday.

@@cyrusatanil It's pointless comparing Djoko and his wins against Sinner. Even though Sinner broke through in pt 2 of last season it wasn't until this season until he truly arrived when Djoko was genuinely in decline getting beaten in the AO by Sinner. They will never meet on an even keel. It was mainly the Alcaraz vs Sinner matches this year which showed these guys have reached a new level not yet seen. You can mention legacy's and records all day long but Djoko never had the same speed with control of shot that these 2 have. The only difference being Sinner has it on call now
@cyrusatanil
@cyrusatanil 3 күн бұрын
@@bryanomalley7890 I pointed out the faster balls from Sinner and how that doesn't make him better above. He can't strangle the way Djokovic did. He can outhit almost anyone other than Alcaraz, which makes him look better. I used the examples of Nadal and Federer because they looked better than him. Yet, he owned both head to heads, with Federer not winning a slam match after 2012 against Djokovic, and Nadal not winning a hardcourt match after 2013. They both looked better as late as 2020, but they weren't. Sinner isn't either. Edit: On a side note, this reads like I'm scathing you. I'm not. Each to their own, but I think you're wrong, and feel I have the evidence to back it up. And take a look at 2011 Djokovic. I'm not sure Sinner is even hitting much harder than him. Other than his serve, that was when Djokovic was at his most aggressive.

Laura Robson on Sky Sport post Sinner match: "I don't give him a 10, I only give him a 9.5 like I did to Zverev, because he struggled a bit in the first three games with his serve and his forehand" Meanwhile Sinner: 3-0 in 11 minutes 💥 Me and Laura must have watched two different matches... 😂

Really? But when will you mediocre incompetents stop repeating the abominable cliché of Sinner who is boring? In the rallies between Sinner and Alcaraz the points taken to the extreme of possibilities were won in large part by Sinner (see Miami and others). Of the so-called points of the year of the season at least six were scored by Sinner. Watch the videos of the most amazing shots of the season and in sixty percent of the cases you will see that it was Sinner who scored them. Federer-style shots (see the volley lob against Ruud), answers like Djokovic's in his golden days, the diving point scored in Halle against Griekspoor that even surpasses Becker's style and so on. Sinner is a tennis player, not a jester. His standard level is now equal if not superior to that of the Big Three in terms of speed and accuracy and he scores the magic, sensational point when it is necessary. And that is why he is number 1. P.S. I will not respond to any objections in this regard. My ethics require me not to waste time discussing the indisputable and my total adherence to Wilde's most famous aphorism on conversation with idiots forces me to close communications here forever.
