Holy cow that 'boulder' garden at 8:18 looks crazy but fun. Can't imagine what it's like in person vs from the camera view. Thanks for the preview! Can't wait to watch the events.

Thx for the preview, i hope that after the test event they will keep this rock garden, the logs all the technical stuff ! Looks fun to ride, even if it's very artificial.

I think most of it will stay the same, they might make some slight improvements on a few things. 🙌

Very cool! Some of those mult-line tree weaving sections are going to be really interesting to see how a pack of riders flow through! We had some sections like that in dirt crit courses and a pack of 100+ riders at full speed gets really interesting! (outer lines with a chance of escape was the play) I'd expect that surface to pack in by the time of the actual races. Looks fun - especially on an eMTB!!!

Is that sand/ dirt ? Vid makes it appear to be slow rolling. Thanks for the video and how many changes have they made to this ?🤙🏻

Interesting they covered a lot of the course in that sandy gravel. Seems like a strange design choice.

Cheers for the preview 👍😁 Seems, a more gravel/shale course 🤷 too much single-track for me, that rock garden looks really gnarly though, possibly puncture town 😬, should be interesting if wet 🙈😁 Looks quick if dry Thx again 👍
@annekebeerten Жыл бұрын
The gravel is a little deceiving, at speed this course is pretty technical even with the gravel down.
@johnmccarthy115 Жыл бұрын
@@annekebeerten👍 it did look really narrow & technical in places, too narrow anneke or just ok 🤷

Not sure I agree with Pidcock calling it "bland". Too "man-made" maybe. Just point them down (and up) fresh bits of hill and let it develop. MTB is not a sport that should be "sanitised" or controlled.
@adriankozubal5 ай бұрын
if you compare it to most of a lot of the uci tracks its indeed bland

There is too much flow and wide trails this last decade, it’s ruining the sport, more of a gravel bike course

When I climb a hill, I usually get out of the saddle and pump the legs pretty hard and quick. Is that not an 'olympic' technique?

Technical in its own way? Unique? What she means: it sucks a bit..
@annekebeerten Жыл бұрын
No, this course does not suck at all! I mean that we normally don't see anything that has so much gravel on it and is mostly man made. But once we started riding it we noticed it was a lot harder and technical to keep your speed up, once hitting things at a faster pace it is hard to hit the lines. I think they did a good job with what they had to work with, feedback of the riders of these past 2 days was mostly positive!
@brucegoodie Жыл бұрын
@@annekebeerten glad to hear! are you familiar with cross country courses in general? you were a downhiller, right?

this, like what much of XCO course are becoming, was a terrible course. i've decided that "XCO" is now just a weird combo of gravel/cyclocross
