2024 Peugeot 208 GT 1.2 Hybrid TOP SPEED DRIVE ON GERMAN AUTOBAHN

I have a brand new 208 Hybrid 136 e-DSC. It runs 210 on the speedometer which is probably even not the last word- as it is brand new(I have 1200km now). The German "Fahrzeugschein" states official Topspeed is 204km/H, and if you go to manual mode(M) and use the paddle to excelerate, it will go 8.1 Sec.to100kmh. I have no Idea, why the press is talking the car slower as it is - especially as the other countries (like UK or NL) have published the real specs. All in all - I am very happy with the car (got it last friday).

Thank you very much for this information, really good. I did not know that thing with the paddles and manual mode, maybe you can go higher revs in manual mode, because in automatic I think it shortshifted from 2nd to 3rd for some reason. This was also pretty new, but for some reason I did not manage to get it above 200kmh (speedometer), strange. Could be that the press or the manufacturer are underselling the car maybe? They usually do this with some faster cars, no idea if this would be the case.

I have Opel Corsa F 2020 same engine minus the hybrid so 130hp/230Nm 8AT and it did 0-100 in 8.6s gps (manufacturer claim is 8.7) and top spd 206 km/h gps (claim is 208 km/h). Pre facelift 208 have the same stats so there is no way this hybrid version is that much slower. Btw few months ago i did stage 1 tune 150hp/270Nm and now i do 0-100 in 7.5s gps and already did 212 km/h gps and could go a bit faster but there was traffic ahead so i hit the breaks. I think that 215-217 km/h is possible.

I have it since October (136HP Hybrid GT) and it is super pleasant car to drive and overall, a very "complete" car with no obvious flaw I would say. I can only recommend it. 👌

@@YourTroll-d5o No, I live in Luxembourg, sorry. I bought it brand new at a Peugeot partner dealership and yes, the colours are paying except the default one (yellow agueda).

"there is almost no way for me to get the steering wheel in a position where I fully see the speed" I'm sorry, but this must be a problem of yours, because I have the 208 GT and I can see 100% of the information on the cockpit. The sir at the stand who sold me the car smilled when I brought up this question in our previous meeeting, saying that people who complain of this usually don't take the time to study the manual and learn how to correctly adjust the seat. That's probably your case. I'm 1,74m btw and I never had to correct my seat, since I've always had perfect visibility from the cockpit.

Appreciate the comment! My sitting position is the same in every car I drive, personally I like the seat at its lowest it can get, the back side almost straight and the wheel so that when sitting straight and reaching my palms up the steering wheel, my wrist is touching the wheel. I never had any problems apart of the peugeot cars, where this problem of not seeing the full cockpit information would be to raise the chair. Do you see the whole cockpit above the steering wheel or through the space between the upper side of the wheel and the airbag?

I brought up this question on my fisrt meeting, because I previously saw other video-reviews complaining of the same problem you refer, so this was a concern. But the truth is that I have perfect visibility since day one, and the gentleman at the stand showed me the manual where it´s explained how to perfectly adjust the seat. Maybe I was lucky :p Great review nonetheless!

nope in the 2024 restyling on the gt’s versions they removed the belt in oil bath and now theyre using the distribution chain

i have the gt hybrid with 100 e-dcs6, i achieved over 200 km/h; so i think they're lying about the stats of the car; this 136 should be even faster
