2024 PFR2-The Straight Retrieve-June 27

The straight retrieve-June 27-I’m Jason Matity with getfishing.ca. There’s very few techniques that are as straightforward as the straight retrieve. It’s simply casting out a Bluefox spinner, spoon, jig or Rapala crank bait and winding it back in with your reel. The consistency of a straight retrieve drives fish wild and attracts them to your lure. You can speed up the retrieve, and fish will pounce the escaping meal, or slow it down and add a bit of live bait when the fish are less active.
