Listen i hate D Bro but to all who think Gibbs should get credit? Cmon man he did a 1 min segment saying that he liked him a bit. He didnt predict he would be anywhere close to what Puka turned out to be, NOBODY did. Not one fantasy expert nor real life nfl scout, gm or exec did either, or else he woulda been a top 10 pick. For once i would like the fantasy community to give credit when its deserved. Im still waiting on the day an expert picks a guy with absolute conviction and says he will end up a top 20 player or something but they NEVER do that
@chaos_5102 ай бұрын
@@PayDay4KZbin D Bro had “absolute conviction” Tony Pollard was his RB1 last season, go watch the tape. Jacob Gibbs was the 1st person I heard (and it seems many others) to lay out Pukas per route data in college and why he stood out. For that reason I drafted Puka with one of my last picks in every bestball draft I did. Credit is due

Since Puka broke so many rookie receiving records, the correct answer is probably no-one. In terms of a dark horse WR who could smash, I 100% agree with DBRO - my favorite of this group is Troy Franklin. One of best deep threats I've seen in a while. If you like advanced metrics, his yards per route run against man AND zone are among the best in the class. If you like the "eye test" - which I do - he passes it. Plus he gets to play with QB he has already spent already years developing chemistry with as an added bonus. I'm a KC fan and I would have been quite happy with Franklin at the end of the first round - that kid can play.

Matt my take is Ladd is this years Puka. He goes to an Elite Qb in Herbert that people are underrating a bit after injuries and a down year. Goes to an offense that people think isn’t going to produce as much like they thought rams rebuilding. And he comes in and will be the wr 2 on the team right away. And has show the ability to be an elite route runner + run all routes. Only thing missing is an elite wr like Kupp to teach him to master his craft and take pressure off of him. What if Herbert gets back to form AND chargers throw just a little more than everyone thinks? Or he gets 135 targets because there isn’t any competition?

Ladd goes too early in redraft to be this year's Puka. He is already priced like Jordan Addison and Zay Flowers from last season.
