@14:45 When they were deciding on AB's OB shot I was very surprised that they didn't pull out the string and measure the OB via the feathers. At the 2021 USWDGC all of us spotters had a length of kite string to help the players measure the OB line because as we all know painted lines can be fuzzy and a string between 2 fixed points is not.

At events it's much more fair to have a shotgun start. If there's bad weather then everyone is affected, plus in my experience of running golf tournies it also speeds up play so you don't wait as long and live scoring is a real thing (unlike Jomez where they are showing where the field was at that hole, even though some may have posted scores that aren't reflected in the Jomez coverage).

The goal of adding this wide-open second course is supposedly to let the players rip long power shots -- as a lot of fans enjoy this, plus it adds balance for the different player styles. They build slippery elevated postage stamp tee pads for them to throw from?!? It would have been simple to just add another half sheet of plywood (at least), and allow for rain drainage of course. Everyone is going to have calf cramps from tippy toe perching on the edge (except for Sexton who clearly takes calf supplements )

If I'm honest, this is a bad look for Disc Golf long term. This is supposed to be a Pro Tour course and it looks terrible. Nate Sexton commented on the "dirt mound" at one point where it's just a bunch of mud w/ tire trucks through it. If I was a player or the league in general, I'd be demanding better quality and better looking courses. I'm not optimistic for the future of disc golf because unless they can get this cleaned up, I don't see how it's going to have more mass appeal. I've seen unkempt woods courses look better than this one... They should have played The Beast 4 times.
