@@SYN_Raf right on… I’ll probably place my order for the dual valve this weekend and I’ll let you know when I have it installed and pull the single out.

Great guide. I just installed my single valve UPR yesterday. This was easier to install than my Ford Performance one for my old F150 and will be easier to empty. Went with single valve so I can easily remove it if I have to take the truck in for service or to take it off in winter.
@flaberdoopin3 ай бұрын
@@AgntCpr that is great to know about the ease compared to the ford performance version, i didn’t realize ford performance had catch cans. Excuse my ignorance, but why would you take it off for the winter? What is the downside to having a catch can on in the cold? Wondering if i should take mine off as well come freezing time’
@AgntCpr2 ай бұрын
@@flaberdoopin Up here in Wisconsin, it can get brutally cold and my vehicles are parked outside. Vapor condensate can freeze causing the catch can to fill up faster. I had to check mine at least once a week to keep it from becoming a problem. I believe it helps if the hoses are wrapped in insulation.

Use the catch cans from ford performance, which doesn't void the warranty and covers both turbos’ banks.
@flaberdoopin2 күн бұрын
I'm going to look that up and may go ahead and buy it... i am interested in covering both sides instead of just one.

@flaberdoopin I ordered the kit and put it on my bronco raptor a couple of months ago. The kit is close to $550.00.

@flaberdoopin I put the Ford performance catch cans on my Bronco Raptor. I think they are worth the $500. Installation only took around 1 hour. I'll see how much they catch on the next oil change.

only really needed one catch can that connects to the valve cover to intake manifold side. The sides where the valve covers connects to the intake doesn't really produce any liquids, so it's not needed unless the engine is in poorer state... like bad compression rings.
@flaberdoopin2 ай бұрын
great information, thank you for the input. So you are saying that this single valve catch can on the pax side doing right into the intake manifold is good enough for stock setup? that is good to know/hear.

will there be oil catch can update video maybe around 2-3000 miles later?
@flaberdoopin2 ай бұрын
For sure. i'm going to do my next oil change in 1500 more miles so i'll check it then. I will also probably give it a look in 500 as it recommends that in the install instructions just to ensure it is functioning.

I went to UPR. There are a few options (some are just colors) to pick. What are the options you selected?
@flaberdoopin3 ай бұрын
@@Richard-yr5zj i went with the single valve as mentioned and the only option i selected was the magnetic drain plug… the rest i left as “no”. And if you are going to order it, the code i got for discount was actually from one of the facebook groups, not the forum. Code was UPR7. Hopefully it will still work for you and save you a few bucks.

Catch cans are mostly used for direct injected only cars ,ford did with this raptor what toyota does with there cars they have direct and port injection to fix that problem so catch can is not really needed
@flaberdoopin2 ай бұрын
I didn’t realize that. Are you saying they aren’t really needed on a Toyota or they aren’t necessary on the raptor? I am not a mechanic, I just understand the basic concept so any info you have is greatly appreciated! Cheers and thanks for the comment

Took your struts and ditch lights off?
@flaberdoopin2 ай бұрын
I kept the ditch lights on, but took the struts off... it was putting way too much strain on the hood. apparently the hoods on the Australian model are steel while ours are aluminum here in the USA. The aluminum couldn't handle the stress of all that torque on that single point and it was close to buckling so i took them off. Looks like some other companies have desiged some that work great on the aluminum hoods here in the US with different brackets but i am good with just the ditch lights for now.
