The clarify the index point, might be a bleed-over from the Bullet Journal community (who make a lot of reading journals) where the Index is the page that describes where things are in the book. The reason it's called an index and not a table of contents is because it functions kind of like a hybrid between a book index and a table of contents. Given that bullet journals can have the same information run over multiple pages that aren't subsequent, you can have entries in a bullet journal index that are like "Reading list -- 6, 42, 73" which give all the instances of that information in the notebook. The main point of difference between the journal index and a table of contents is that things aren't just listed chronologically. Hope that makes sense 😝

You are a natural in front of the camera. You look so much like my friend, DeAnn, that I had to give you a folllow. Good luck with your channel.

That is very kind, thank you! In truth, I feel very awkward and like I am not quite portraying myself accurately. But I am trying. Thank you for subscribing!

I feel you with the recovering perfectionist thing. It's hard. For the marks on your cover, tim holtz distress ink could help you to "age" all of the edges and be in control of the color and intensity, taking back control of the situation. It's great for distressing pages in your journal, too. And for the tide stains, you could use a grey colored pencil or light grey tombow to add a shadow to your lettering on your contents page, and it would hide it beautifully. Other pages you could use a bit of washi over the stain to add emphasis to your headers. I've spent a lot of time trying to not obsess over perfection, but the bottom line is that if something bothers me enough, it drains my joy of using it. So I still have some tricks that I use for big mistakes. Hope that helps 😊 your journal is super cute!

These are all great tips, thank you! I do have so very cool purple holographic washi that I just may start incorporating 🤔

I'm obsessed with your title page! I never know what to do for that, and a collage is a great idea! You could find some cool fabric and re-cover your journal. Your headings are so creative. I thought the bingo set up was great too. I dont think it matters how many books you read a month. There are many people out there who read like you and will appreciate your page. Great job on your journal and on your first video!

Enjoyed the flip through. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of reading journal and spreads I prefer. It's always changing. haha

If you don’t want your table to stain your stuff but still see the table, use a clear vinyl/pvc (?? Not sure what the plastic is called) table protector. I’m in Australia so I can’t recommend stores to check out other than large hardware stores Love your journal and that black bust is gorgeous 💙🇦🇺
