Ugh, Internet haters are the worst. I use my TBR as a reminder to myself, a wish list, and not really as a serious goal. SO i's massive. I also have many, many physical books I haven't read, and I do try to control to by destashing via used bookstores and Little Free Libraries. But my library as a whole is a retreat that is an emotional comfort to me, and having unread books feels like a stash of delicious chocolates I will be able enjoy in the future. Some treats I will share, and some I will not end up reading in the end. So be it.

Found this as I like to watch reading journal videos to get ideas. Just got to the part of your TBR tracker. Sorry to hear people have been like that when you have shared the size of yours. My physical TBR (the only TBR I have) at the start of 2024 was 720 books. I’m happy with that size as I think about 80% are out of print books (and unavailable from the library). I like to get them when I see them as I may never be able to find them again. But even if they were all in print, it is nothing to be made to feel ashamed of so long as I can afford it. I love being able to pull whatever I am in the mood for from my shelves. And also being able to lend books to friends.

Sorry for all the separate comments. First, your journal is beautiful. I really think the torn edges on your Washi tape looks much better than neatly trimming at the edge of the book. Second, do not hesitate to block the nasty commenters. I bet my Audible TBR list is longer than any of your lists. Thanks for the heads up about PET tape. Although these products are very beautiful, I’m not a big fan of their glossiness. I’m a matte-finish girl!

Hi, I love your journal setup. I have been looking for a book stamp. Can you link the stamp you used for your shelfie or give the name of it? I want to do a long term reading journal, and it would be so much easier to stamp books. My drawing is terrible. Lol BTW who cares what people say, buy all the books you want. I love the spread to track your stash decrease/increase for the year. This is the first time I’ve seen that.

X-Z-Q: I don’t limit myself to the first letter in the title. If the letter shows up anywhere in the title, I will use it.

I am sorry people gave you grief for your TBR.. I can guarantee you that mine is way bigger than yours. I currently have over 20k books in my kindle library (since getting my first kindle in December of 2013.) 98% of them (possibly more) were free as back then there were email lists were we got 150+ free books per day. That slowed down considerably over the years but recent stuff your kindle events have yielded me as many as 600 books in one event. So since I typically (since 2016) read 150-300 books a year( I review for many authors ) and to date have read about 2,000 books it would literally take me 72 years to read every single book in my kindle library. Which considering I am 54 that is highly unlikely and that would also mean I could never buy or get a free book or ARC again. So just know you are not alone. I would love more details on your Romance, Thriller and Cozy Mystery challenge prompts.
