As single mother of two I love it honestly, its paid up now and am not getting any car yet. I can park anywhere and drive anywhere. I drove it to Venda and Drakensberg-Emsinga . we do family trips and I have never had any problem on that car beside when driving next to big trucks and extremely windy places Jesu 🤣

I know people don't like the Kwid so much but I can definitely tell you that they improved a lot on the facelifted model, apart from the bodyshell. If you drive the pre-facelift Kwid vs the facelift Kwid back to back then the pre-facelift model will definitely feel like an old car, especially driving on the highway where the pre-facelift one will definitely feel a lot more nervous than the facelift one. Is it worth R218 000? Definitely not, at least around R164 900 must the price be for that Climber model. I recently drove the facelift and the pre-facelift back to back. One thing that I wish is that they would give our Kwid some ESP with traction control and that is the Kwids problem, it loves to break traction even though it has punchu-nunu power. In India it is available with ESP and traction control.

Owned 2 kwids back to back 8year duration .. first was the 2017 dynamic, then the 2022 Climber took them everywhere from cpt to namib to botsw durbs then home to cpt again if you live by the coast, best to replace the exhaust to stainless steel... you get better performance and last heleva lot longer.. back seat rest can be taken out completely, and then you have a proper panel hatchback.. THEY GIVE NO KAK unless you drive like a numpty. Reason for buying the kwid you can look up a video on yt of a journey from India to UK in a Renault Kwid.. i was amazed of the endurance the kwid was capable of performing through various terrain.

Stepway is an excellent first car. It's suprisingly spacious and drives okay, once you get used to the turbo-lag... I drove it from Durban to Kimberley and back in one day. I wasn't even tired. But they are expensive nowadays. How much is the one you're looking at going for?

Yeah, I really loved it over the two years that I owned it. Never gave me a single maintenance issue in that short time. I only changed the battery and brakes, which is normal. That extra height also came is very handy if I needed to drive in the rurals or needed to climb a pavement. It did the job of a compact cross-over very well. I carried 2 suitcases, a Fridge, TV, microwave oven and 2 passengers on that drive to Kimberley I mentioned earlier.
