Just to inform in Bajaj, u have option to reduce survival period to zero days and waiting period of 120 days by paying minimal premium. Because I have the same. And if u choose total SA 2 CR in all sections then u can't go for additional riders.

In a health insurance policy, the company will pay for the "expenses" to the hospital. In a critical illness policy, the company directly pays to the insurer, which can utilise as per his/her will. In my opinion, one should have both insurance policies. If I have both and if I am diagnosed with a critical illness, I get the insurance amount in my bank account. I can utilise it for paying off my debts or use it as an emergency fund, because I can't go to work for a period of time. Also I can use the health insurance policy for the treatment expenses. I think it's how it works
