2024 Sidney BC Canada Day Parade

Saanich Peninsula Pipe Band led the massed band at the head of the annual Sidney Canada Day 2024 parade. We were thrilled to be joined by our colleague drummers and pipers from Castle Cary Pipes and Drums, 443 Squadron (Marine Helicopters) Pipes and Drums, 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipes and Drums, and Canadian Scottish Regiment Association Pipes and Drums. In all 29 pipers and 14 drummers creating the best parade sound ever enjoyed in Sidney! We started with some practice in the field, working on wheels and marches, before tuning up on a perfect summer day for the well attended parade. After we visited the ANAVETs hall for a brief loud and proud on their stage and out the door before we wore out our welcome! A great day and many thanks to our colleague bands for supporting this event.
