2024 Signature Triple Crown LEG 3

LEG 3 of the 2024 Signature Triple Crown, presented by Chantilly Air, was held out of Los Sueños Resort and Marina March 11-16, starting with the Ladies Only Tournament on Tuesday, March 12th. The 11 participating teams released an impressive 148 billfish in one day, including 147 sails and 1 marlin. The 42 teams registered for the Signature Triple Crown went on to release 1,789 billfish, including 7 marlin and 1,782 sails in three days from Thursday through Saturday.
In 2016 there were 6,570 billfish released over three legs of the Triple Crown and this year the final tally came to 6,029 not including the Ladies Only, and 6,717 including the Ladies Only. Either way, the numbers are impressive and made for a thrilling and engaging event all season long!
Instead of including a Featured Angler segment in this month's tournament show, we decided instead to pay tribute to 20 Years of Billfish Bliss, twenty years of tournaments held out of Los Sueños Resort and Marina since the first took place in 2004, and ten years of the Signature Triple Crown since 2014. Los Sueños, the dream that became reality under the tutelage of its founder and developer, William "Bill" Royster, has been helping owners, anglers, visitors, dreamers, travelers, and adventurers realize their dreams and create life-lasting memories since its inception, and will continue to do so long into the future.
