Me too! Going solo is fine! There are many budget hotels that have solo rooms that cost less. Love that! This time I’m not going solo. But I travel solo every year. I found it a bit difficult to eat solo sometimes. Look up KZbin videos about great places to eat solo. Areas around universities have better options for solo eating, including Hongdae has a solo BBQ place!! If you think you will be lonely, there are groups and activities in Korea. Plan ahead.

I was supposed to be in Korea like right now, today but i haven't left since my student visa is delayed. Idk if it's bad luck of a good one because I can catch up to what to do after watching your video ( yes I was gonna arrive there as clueless and possible). Still haven't figured out the money situation and I've been scrolling through reddit and travel advisor looking at people's comments on whether to 1) Get USD and exchange it at the airport 2) Use the ATM for money for the bus/taxi and then exchange at a bank.

When I went to Korea a few years ago, the taxi cab driver definitely took advantage of us not knowing enough Korean and charged us about twice the amount for the ride 😅 I'm not bothered by it but I quickly realized that we gave him more than what's actually expected. But we were so tired we didn't care. Next year when I go back though, I'll be a bit more skeptical lol.
