2024 Spectre Review: Is Rolls Royce Truly Better as an EV? + Full History!

I always said Rolls Royce is the one brand in which E.V would help aid the car. It embodies everything Rolls Royce is about. Quiet and effortless torque. Weight doesn't matter as thats not what they're about. With the batteries on the floor it will actually handle better than their combustion engine cars. Big fan of the Spectre.

You left out 1 key aspect...the forever car factor. 1960 RR is still a RR. would u say thesame of an electric RR even just 20 years from now? Or are we just ignoring that part? Curious to know.

@@NoellyG09 exactly. Just the same a collector wouldve probably refurbished or rebuilt a rolls with a 50 year old engine, the battery wouldve been replaced on this if not scrapped

You need to look into how the bmw deal came about and you'll realise how your comment actually works against the point your making.

Rolls Royce has always been the road experience of a millionaire’s yacht. So electric or petro engine doesn’t matter. As long as it floats smoothly over bumps, I’m satisfied with RR continuing opulence

An electric Rolls Royce is like a quartz Rolex. Yeah you could argue quarts is like made for Rolex because of how accurate it is but it isn’t about that, it’s about perfecting the mechanical movement

The front lights look horrendous. I think it was Rory whi also did a review on the Spectre & surprisingly he said an EV might not be the ideal Rolls Royce since the engine being so quiet made him hear other noises within the cabin that he'd not notice otherwise on the petrol version

This car reveals a truth about EVs. You have to reach for the very highest echelons of the luxury car market before it becomes a truly preferable option to ICE. It nearly holds its own, but even then it still fails because of range and the potential for rapid battery technology obsolescence.

It's a big mistake that the government is driving the industry to go completely EV. It is a short term solution to a long term problem. Until the complete infrastructure is sorted out, then EVs will not be viable to replace all ICE vehicles. Added to this, what happened to choice for the consumer?
