2024 TCS Sydney Marathon - Keeping our event greener & cleaner

In 2023 in Paris maration, I was so impressed of huge cup collection bins with a huge target, so even fast runners can't miss hitting the target with the cups. There were plenty of them after each water station. I hope TCS Sydney Marathon has big enough runners to put them in.

Very ambitious for this size event. Interested to see how many bins they have after each water station. The example shows one tiny disposable bin, which will be difficult for everyone running to get to on one side of the road to dispose of gels etc. Moving from one side to other causes a big time delay. Why not much wider bins on both sides of the road so it's easier to throw? Or rubbish disposal zones like events in other countries?
