Hi, you are correct that a lot of these boats are custom-made - a lot of them are made by Spencer Canoe in Martindale Texas by Jack Spencer. A lot of the surfskis that folks use are from Epic or Stellar and Wenonah canoes.

I've only recently gotten interested in these canoe races. This video shows the intensity of the start for sure! Are these boats custom creations or are they available on the market. Sure look like very focused craft to me. I know the Epic brand but some of these really look custom. Thanks for sharing.
