Honestly I feel like I could fill up my top 10 at the end of the year entirely with death metal, so many fantastic records from all across the realms of death metal.

Skeletal Remains Fragments of the Ageless was my favorite death metal release of the year. Probably one of Skeletal Remains best albums. They really hit the mark with this one!

Good list, haven´t heard them all. But one that is stuck to my mind and playlist is: Blood Red Throne - Nonagon, which came out in January I think, such a great band! And yeah Wintersun too polished for me also, can´t stand the drum sound it´s awfull on the new one, the snare sounds just like the kick drums.
