Hi Darren, the generator for this specific unit runs on diesel, not propane. We were able to customize this unit when we ordered it from the manufacturer. Hope this helps!

ad 5 miin he is talking about the generator running on Diesel fuel. generator needs 87 Octane like regular fuel, diesel has a max of 40!!!!!!

Hi Hans, the generator for this unit runs on diesel, not 87 octane. The generator pulls from the vehicle's fuel tank rather than from its own source. Hope this helps!

that is fantastic! is this a special version? By googling flexPower 4000i I could not find anything mentioning diesel, only the 87 rating. Any additional info would be great!
