just bring your best gear you can afford. if you got dcb/ hasta/ trident sea- you can push to 250 maybe even 300 but its hard. if you got bofa/ fang/ swamp- you can push to sub 400s if you got shadow/tbow/fang- you can do 500s. avernic hilt, primordial boots, netty faceguard, torture ammy, ferocius gloves, zaryte vamb are maginal dps increases. i wouldnt recommend making them a priority. shadow with ancestral is a better investment overall

I teach people TOA with "stay vigilant" on from the get go and teach them that its a given that akkha can change style whenever he feels like it - makes the invocation basically free and means they never learn to count or get in to the idea of counting his attacks to then have to get out of that habit later what I find most people struggle with is knowing what to change in to - this forces them to change more often and drills in to them the order of gear switching (mage to melee to range)

These are the tips I give people to help them remember their prayer and gear switching order - you always pray the next protect prayer to the left, if you're praying mage that loops back around to melee then goes from right to left again your gear changes are in alphabetical order - you start MAge then go MElee and finally RAnged then repeat.

I really like this idea tbh. It's also one I teach people early on. Usually around the 280 invo range is when I start to introduce this to people.

My favorite invocation has to be 'Hardcore Run'. I always get so frustrated when I make a mistake and die that I feel like resetting it all in order to try again, so this invocation actually benefits me with +25 raid levels for something I'd already be doing! RSN: Guimis.

There's absolutely no point in having it turned on to be honest. Your just wasting 500k each time you die and loosing money from the raid. The amount of times you will die in 400 if you have budget gear is insane before you actually can complete the raid confidently without dying.

I agree with the other guy. I run 515s casually and don't recommend Hardcore Run to anyone except people who are trying to get their first 500 kit and struggle with other invocations.

I've been doing 355s with no insanity. Use walk the path and pathseeker. Skull skipping aswell gives me 6.6-6.8% Been good to me since I started them. 3 shadows at that invo. I never get shit at 410s. But thoughs are usually group raids.

410 groups are popular because with no deaths in an 8 man raid the party reaches the points cap.

Can someone explain why Akkha is ALWAYS immune to my attacks even after dropping a shadow? for 3 minutes straight he was immune as were his shadows.

You have to pull akkha into the section that doesn't have a shadow.

I've got over 1,000 expert kc, 300 normal kc, taught many learners up to their fang kits. I send casual 200s with new players, casual 515s solo, masses at any invo level. I've got to say, this invocation progression guide is kinda nonsensical. Saving Walk the Path for 250 invo makes no sense as it's essentially a free 50 invo level at any level. I'd put this one as the first one people should turn on and just explain to them how Akkha level 2 works. In general, so many of these invos are free nobody should even actually be doing entry mode unless they don't have a fang. Starting invocation level for most players looking to get into raids 3 is about 180-220. No one really needs more than 3 lives, maybe 5 lives. If they have died this many times at 150-200 invo they're going to be so low on supplies they have to restart anyways. Overclocked 2 and On a Diet are basically givens that players should learn to deal with as early as possible. On a Diet I understand might be necessary for some irons so I'll give them that. However, not learning Overclocked 2 is just doing yourself a disservice. It's a rhythm that once you learn, you basically never unlearn. I've found that people who learn to do P3 without that invo turned on, tend to start to perform worse once it is turned on. One thing that is crazy to me is that you would recommend learning Feeling Special as early as 200 invo. Feeling Special is arguably one of the most difficult invocations for the average player to learn and is brutally unforgiving. It fits into the same category as Insanity where you should run 150 invos just to learn it. Penetration at only 200 invo is another brutally punishing one being added far too early. Who waits until 300 invo to turn on Aerial Assault? All it does is turn Kephri's attack into a Vorkath bomb. Most players who are in ToA will have done DS2, they understand how to walk 2 tiles instead of 1. In my opinion it also makes the shadow underneath you easier to see.

if you got a fang and a bowfa, there is no reason for u to not be able to do 300s. you just need to learn all the invocations one by one.

I'm still learning TOA and just got up to 150s. I'm still too slow to use the timed runs one but I do use softcore run though I treat it like hardcore run so if I die, I reset. Rsn Spam_433

hardcore is a massive waste of gp. With all my deaths in toa to date i'd be down like 250m if i ran hardcore instead of softcore. You can always find 10pts somewhere else and if you die just dip and start over. And if you're only out supplies rather than 500k+supplies, you'll have a much better time pushing higher invos and getting better. But "just play better with hc on" doesn't even really apply to toa where a yellow click through a boss = death, a misclick past a zebak wave or dodging a floor attack on p2 = death, etc. Toa isn't about playing better - it's about making less mistakes, and most mistakes kill you outright if you're at higher invo.

100% agreed with this. I legit don't recommend hardcore to anyone until they are ready to start sending their 450 or 500 kits.

Been busy with finals these few weeks and lost membership. Would be very nice to have a bond when i'm done. I think overly draining is too awful because of how important specs are and maybe in a 500 you could replace it with something else cuz of dehydration. RSN: FazeJosefin
