Well to be fair, this GR Sport has a new OE GR high performance suspension. So perhaps that explains the more comfortable ride. They actually did a review of the hilux conquest in their previous videos and I'm pretty sure the boys from Top Gear PH knows what they're talking about.

@@Steegampoota not at all, they actually hated the Hilux's bumpy ride when they compared it to the Dmax and Navarra. And just a few months ago they also compared the previous Hilux GR to the Ranger Wildtrak. According to them the Wildtrak was the better truck overall.

before this actual's car arrival there were already these kinds of kits in Evangelista and Banawe. Turning Hilux J and G to almost same, at least aesthetically. in essence, the metal body is same.. just all plastic claddings and mouldings. so it is a no for me. The only thing I crave from the GRS is the rear aircon vents. And i don't understand why on a 1.9m conquest they can't give a vent at the back..

@@refaFRATzit This one. Just a quick glance at the doors on this vs. the Ranger Raptor (or even the Ranger in general) and you can tell the Hilux looks bland and flat. In this white color, with the blacked-out door handles and mirror caps it even looks like a base Hilux J that had just been kitted up. Seriously, this front end will look good on a Hilux Conquest body than on this.

Your review would be more informative if you provided actual details other than using 'new and improved' for the several upgrades. What is the suspension? Ranger uses Fox suspension. It isn't wider because of the tread, it's because of the Axel and chassis, but using spacers. Why is it more powerful? Bigger injectors? Stats you gave all came from a google search.

@@hermanojhey in my opinion the new Hilux GR is not worth the price increase. Still the same average interior as my 2016 Hilux. You could do better aftermarket mods for less, with a much better setup. Also Toyota will announce the all new Hilux in 2024. Toyota only change the Hilux and Prado every 10 years

This Hilux is a bummer IMO. They facelifted it, they tuned the engine (not a new one btw which was wrongly described here), with a slightly better KYB tuned suspension. Its a Hilux GRS with a better tuning. Period. Let’s be honest Toyota people, while it looks good (aside that it skipped leg day), this is charging too much money for the same thing, almost. We deserve better!

Just curious tho if the new Conquest will also the same with Australia's version of it which is the Rogue, it too now runs with a wider track. Overall despite the not-too huge updates vs the Ranger Raptor and not being a Hilux fan at all , I do prefer this new Hilux GR-S more vs the Ford. It just needs real, chunky tires (and probably some TE37 XT's 🤪) and should be perfect.

The steering wheel of a stock Hilux is kinda heavy already especially during full turns, installing an oversized tire will make the steering wheel way heavier than the stock. My nephew owns a 2023 Hilux GR with 275/60/R18 tires, it makes the steering wheel full turns really heavy.

@@Toyotalux456 same reason why the 2.7 vvti fortuner/hilux, 2.0vvti innova, and the v6 montero have been axed from the line up. Gasoline variants of SUVs and pickups only appeal to a small percentage of ph's car buyers. Though if ford decides to bring the v6 gas and v6 diesel here surely there will be a massive bump on the price of the raptor. Raptor is priced at 2.3m present. So maybe just shy of 3M maybe?
