These should be 30K max nothing "Landcruiser" about them. I think Toyota Japan has allowed the North American style of leadership doom the product line. I had been seeing the cracks in Toyota reliability starting with the LS430/LS460 and now it's pretty much in every product line they make. This combined with the horrible dealer experience Toyota is toast for at least the next 5 years unless they can pull their head out of you know where.

what really makes a Car Manufacturer Reputable is not its shape or horsepower; its all about adequate horsepower; acceptable gas mileage but most important of all ----- RELIABLE for 400K miles. Its not about asethetic, looks, or lots of horsepower, all of which mean nothing if it goes into repair shops periodically. Toyota corolla and Tacoma pickups were successful because it took years of owners experience with no recalls or defects in order to achieve that level of popularity. Toyota has lost that over the years with various model recall and defects including those hybrid brake solenoid boosters/pumps that leaks after 70k miles+.

About a month ago, I bought a new F-150 XLT 303A package with a dealer BDS lift and tire package. That was marked down $15K, and I negotiated another $2,500.00 off with Ford hood protector and rear wheel liners. I needed something to replace the 2024 Toyota Tacoma Limited that I'm Lemon Lawing. Worst case scenario, we negotiate a settlement, and I sell it to Carvana.....

Had cash this summer with the intent to buy a 2024 Land Cruiser but ended up purchasing the 2024 4Runner TRD Pro. I;'m never going to buy a turbo charged or hybrid engine plus I could not fit my right knee between the steering wheel and the super-wide center console on the Land Cruiser. You’re going to be able to get a hybrid Off Road 4Runner for less $. Bigger gas tank, takes regular fuel. Wouldn’t be surprised if the 1958 goes away in the next year or so. Leaves the Land Cruiser premium at the top of the $ pyramid, being slightly more than a Trailhunter or Pro 4Runner. These will become collectors items!

HP/Cylinder(liter) is crazy high. That is a bad thing for a daily driver. Older Tundras / Land Cruisers were about 50-60 HP per cylinder now its 100+ which makes it unstable over the long term.

They took off the sway bar disconnect and removed any possible reason to buy the thing. Tons of people (myself included) just want a the international version that is completely spartan everywhere except for the maxed out off road system. They're going to take the failure of the 1958 as a sign that we don't want a spartan vehicle, but this is a nonsense hodgepodge with no identity. Most of us would rather have KDSS and locking diffs than an infotainment system and dual zone climate control.

Overpriced 4RUNNERS incoming to help fill lots. I wanted to love the new 4Runner, but not feelin it at recently announced prices. New Land Cruiser, no thanks. My V6 Bronco 4Dr Sasquatch is feeling more and more like a keeper!

Toyota has a big problem on its hands and it’s getting worse. Started with the Tacoma, trickled down to the Land Cruiser and will similarly affect the new 4Runner. Problem 1: Their cars are too expensive. Why would I spend close to 60k for a Tacoma when I can get a better equipped Frontier for 10k less. The Land Cruiser/ 4Runner are also around the same price. 60k is Mercedes territory. Problem 2: Too many overlapping vehicles. Seriously, what’s the point of this Landcruiser? Is it just for sake of the nameplate? It’s barely larger than a 4Runner, costs near the same and serves the same off-road niche. They’re going to hurt sales of the 4Runner by keeping this around. Mark my words…this car will be discontinued within 3 model years and will be a massive flop. Toyota is slowly morphing into Stellantis with all the recalls and product missteps

Interesting how things are so different from city to city. The high volume Toyota store in my city is bare and has been since all the C19 nonsense. A sales rep told me that every Toyota that comes in is already sold.

That original $59k plus fees and taxes is well over 60k. That’s enough for 2 brand new vehicles at 26-29k each. Toyota has gone the way of Stellantis and their vehicles are more expensive but less reliable.😂

❤I heard a lot of BS about low gas mileage my gets a solid 24 MPG on highway in ECO mode. There is a lot of utube crap videos about low LC power ... all BS ! Massive torque and HP power for a 4-cylinder turbo. It hauls ass off the line for such a heavy vehicle. The electric motor is assisting the engine when high power and torque are needed while turbo is not up to speed.

Yeah, that would’ve been nice. Then it would’ve definitely been bulletproof. They could’ve definitely won a couple different directions with the engine with the Tacoma and soon the 4Runner as well. We will just have to see how these things hold up overtime.
