Clean burn, no spitting or sputtering, yet "appears" to be low impulse. incrementally increase the red iron oxide in the composition. When it goes BOOM.. back off on the red iron oxide by 3 increments just to be safe. I is a self taught Яocket Scientist, i did everything before the internet existed. My success rate came from a failure rate which made me well known among my neighbors. Going to a National Rocket Shoot and speaking of my crazed adventures,, alarmed everyone there, who all informed me of store bought products that were "SAFE" and how they were trying to get away from the negative events people like me had experienced which put a bad light on the hobby Яocket scientist community... and i surly had a few bad days making and working with rockets & sugar fuel, so I got away from the experimentation as I had reached my end, I had done it all. now i'm to damn old, want to keep my eye brows, and Space X is a few hours south if I want to see a rocket fly and explode. Cheers,, Enjoy the fun, I sure did. (Hair grows back, eye & ears wont).

Good eyes! This was a trial run at a vary low starting Kn of 200. This was a shake down run to start characterizing a basic propellent as part of a group experiment. This also used an Aerotech Phenolic Medusa nozzle which erroded qhite a bit so Kn went down to 150 ish throughout the burn. Max case pressure was like 350psi. Lessons learned, going to switch to graphite nozzles and run Kn's at 200, 250, and 300. Loved hearing some of the older stories, thanks for watcing!

This is not even remotely the proper way to characterize propellant. @pathtouch1 I strongly advise against this method.

@@rcfreak2493appreciate any feedback, I’ve run this formula unchanged at three different Kn’s with a non erosive nozzle and recorded pressure data at 100Hz using an Altus Metrum EasyMotor. If you’re referring to the comment to increase ROI until it CATOs… I agree that isn’t the accepted practice now a days.
