The comment at the end about the 0% exhaust filter, I gather it did one regen for sure on the trip and that certainly would not help mileage but its the nature of the beast it seems these last years. I talked to a shop last year from this area ( I am in Alberta ) that works exclusively on Fords and asked him about deletes and he said they do a lot of them, some almost brand new trucks that guys in the oil patch who depend on their trucks not having emissions issues and will forego the trucks engine warranty and get it deleted right off the bat. So if they have the CP4 fuel pump crater or anything else, its on their dime to repair their truck but some make so much in the type of job they have, they can afford it over having down time.

The 23-24 trucks are DEF eating machines vs previous years. The government has every diesel truck eating its own farts. I would truly like to delete mine it makes the truck better in every way. I just like peace of mind with warranty. I keep telling myself I’ll do it after warranty but haven’t keep one that long so far.

@@americandream_89 And of course due to government in the US, they will fine you to death if you do or that is my understanding. Certainly the shops that were performing the deletes. So your right, that has caused some vehicle buyers to flip their vehicle before the warranty runs out and instead its the second owner that gets to deal with a very expensive mess ( ticking time bomb ). And I believe that a dealership will not take a vehicle in on trade that has been deleted, even up here in Canada. Same goes for highway tractors that have been deleted and there are a lot of highway tractors ( semis ) that get deleted due to all the issues some of them have which also often ends up cooking their very expensive engines since they are pulling loads creating lots of undesirable back pressure with all that crap when it starts plugging up, never mind the regurgitating EGR system ( forced to eat their own farts ! ) that wears out the engine prematurely due to injecting soot right into the engine which ends up into the oil .. its quite something.

Spot on buddy. We still have a few shops if you know the right person kind. That will put your truck on a diet. But then it’s a private sale truck only as you stated. In KY police are not really in force to find out if your deleted or not. I’m certain it will be every where before it’s over though.

First off it’s a “sand trap” LOL 😂 and no you can’t use a tee in the sand pit. If you touch the sand with your club before hitting the ball, it’s a one stroke penalty.
