Easily the most honest review of the R & RS, I've got the new RS (in cosmic yellow) and found the down shift was only smooth at lower revs just as you said but IMO the new bikes are a bigger step forward than I thought possible.

I couldn’t agree more yonniboy. So concise and detailed compared to ANY other UK review. Having owned yours for around six months, I’m extremely interested in your thoughts on the suspension. I’m around 12 stone with a much less than perfect back. Do you think the RS shock / fork has enough adjustment in it to achieve the apparent plush ride of the R, or have you not felt the need to adjust it. Paul Lang in this month’s Bike magazine mentions he needs to soften up his longtermer, as to quote him : “It’s great on smooth tarmac, but a bit hard on everything else the UK throws at you” ANY thoughts are very welcome ? At the moment that single sentence is putting me off even test riding one, and obviously there isn’t the scope to adjust much on a test ride…

Yes I changed my suspension settings which are set for sports riding in standard settings, I've got mine dialled in to my liking ironing out our crap roads and I'm 12st 7lbs also with a dodgy back but the Ohlins shock allows for a wide range of settings,@@Maverick-moto

I'm thinking of buying an RS, but I don't like this mirror on the handlebars. But I think the R panel is very bad, can you tell me if you can put the mirror of the R version in the RS model?
@cyclenews Жыл бұрын
I'm sure you can. The RS mirror vibrates quite badly so I would think this modification would work well.

Top review. I still have my 2012 R model, and have been thinking about a new one for a while. It may be time 🙂

I ordered the Moto2 edition. It’s as tasty as the most expensive Iberico ham sold in Valencia! As you know!

Would you rather own a Yamaha XSR 900 or Street Tripple RS ? And Why
@iNFiN3 Жыл бұрын
Depends on what youre looking for, as a overall package the Triumph is much better, better components, better electornics, better tires but also more serious, its a race bike made streetable, while the XSR is a pure street bike, more relaxed, even tho the seat is attrocious according to multiple reports and some owners I spoke to.

Would love a red RS but not sure I can live with the tft display (1st world problem I know) 🍻

Why 2024? Lol 2023 just started. Slow down
@xorbe2 Жыл бұрын
USA already has a 2023 model of the previous gen, so it's 2024 here. The new model is 2023 in UK. Same thing happened for 2017/2018.

its just the way US retailers call their versions for some reason, 1 year ahead.
