Are you sponsored by Vortex now or is their dot actually better than the newest Sig and Holosun offerings?
@GunThinks2 ай бұрын
He probably dropped Sig after his dot failed at Nats

Sig optics are garbage, virtually anything is better.
Like a bullet train! Congrats to match win. Open division is clearly your natural habitat. Which optic are you using and why did you change?

Vortex Defender XL is the optic, why idk maybe sponsor wise

EMG custom 2011. Probably an 8k gun. And at that price level it really doesn't matter if you get an Infinity, Atlas or another custom 2011. They will make you whatever you want for that money.

Hey Christian, well done at the match! Will you be shooting open div at the World Shoot in South Africa next year? Any tips and tricks, I'm hoping to try for a top 50 in the world. Budget and time are mildly limiting factors here as I do not have sponsors or an endless bank account. Advice please?

As someone who has been shooting in local competitions and a few major matches in multi gun and pistol, his shooting movement and endurance are all well and good. The hardest part about this stuff, is remembering where the targets are. Stage planning. You could be the most accurate and fastest mover on the planet, but if you have issues with short-term memory you will never reach the top levels. I think it’s funny that grandmaster qualifications are based on a static stage set up. That’s been the same for a very long time and you can practice it and get your grandmaster certification and never shoot a match like this. Stage reset also really sucks. It takes a super big toll on your body. Being out there for five or six hours walking back-and-forth every 60 seconds to reset the targets is a real pain in the butt. I think that stages should be static and there should be a pool of 15 to 20 stages that are used consistently and randomly throughout the seasons. That would give everyone ample time to practice. Staging is very difficult probably why most of the top shooters are on Adderall.
@brians32872 ай бұрын
Setting up classifiers consistently is enough of a headache. I think a lot of the fun of USPSA would be lost if there were only 15-20 stages used consistently, and if the movement aspect was lost, it would def plummet in popularity.
@IzanReality2 ай бұрын
@@brians3287it’s not popular now…. It’s a tiny tiny group of people that participate. 1% of gun owners maybe not even that many. Every major and minor sport in the world is standardized. The only variable in any sport is the athlete. Wouldn’t Stage set up would be faster? Just my two cents from a beginner. This “sport” is gatekept harder than dungeons and dragons. Almost impossible to find out how to even go to an event. It’s obscure and less popular than competitive backgammon. I love it and wish this was not the case.
