Thanks for the review! I'm wondering if you have some information on reliability among manufacturers. Can I expect a Hisense or a Formovie to last as much as an Epson or other more "established" vendors, on average? How much of a pain is getting out-of-warranty support?

This isn't something we've done any specific research on, but I haven't heard any complaints about high breakdown rates for any of these brands. Projectors tend to last a pretty long time and the laser light sources used in all of these are rated for at least 20,000 hours of use. That's over 10 years of average viewing time. Hisense actually has been doing UST projectors longer than just about anyone else with their first model being offered in 2014. So if these were prone to break-down, we'd know by now. I believe Formovie's US warranty is 1-year but I think their US distributor ProjectorScreen dot com doubles that if bought directly. At least they used to.
