The best looking VW ever. A much improved interior, but still has a lot of cost cutting reminders. Its as if VW want to remind everyone its not a luxury car. The thigh extend are cheap plastic but still much appreciated. HUD could be a bit more sutured. Needs a power steering wheel. Even if its an option.

Not sure if many folk will get excited with the styling of this car inside or out. It's a rather bland looking thing and quite dumpy looking in profile. That being said, I'd have this VW over the IONIQ 6 any day

I agree and can imagine Skoda's vision like most models will look better as its indeed " The people's car not VW no more. I imagine the skoda version will be based on the beautiful sharp angles of the skoda vision C concept that spawned the last generation combustion engine / PHEV Skoda Superb #woopwoop 😁🤘

This the DIRECT electric replacement for the existing petrol VW Arteon (which will soon cease production). The Arteon, which I currently own, is a gorgeous looking large hatchback sedan…..I’m always getting comments from complete strangers about how good it looks! Sadly, whilst this ID7 is by no means ugly, it certainly is a backward step in terms of styling, compared with the handsome Arteon. Such a shame !!

I'm an Arteon owner and I agree with your comment, I was expecting it to be more like the ID Vizzion concept from 2018 as the ID 7 we ACTUALLY wanted.

From the outside it looks like a Japanese or Korean car. Apart from the logo, I couldn't see a characteristic VW line. The interior volume, especially the knee room at the back, seems sufficient. It seems they wanted to try something new in the cockpit. There are no traditional big driver indicators. A huge screen in the middle. It looks like that misshapen screen of Toyota corolla. So the cockpit design is not very successful. And everything inside the car is gray and plastic. It's a very boring look. But I think the car is electric. I applaud this environmental approach.
