Ive bought nothing but Volkswagens for the last 3 decades and have driven hundreds of thousands of miles in different models with little to no major issues mostly wear and tear 🤷🏽‍♂️I currently have a 2018 Tiguan and I’m at about 52k it’s been a gem reliable would be an understatement,2 kinds of cars in the world VW and the rest 😁 great review by the way 💯

It took you a couple of vw's for 3 decades of driving them. It would have taken 2 toyotas max for the same amount of time. Also, the resale value would also be better. Just saying.

@@change778 I had several by choice not force by taste not circumstance my point was by using oem replacement parts and doing proper maintenance wear and tear were the only issues I’ve come across ,I can’t unlike what I like Toyotas are great cars if that’s what you’re into 👏🏼 but just because they may take a better beating (in some cases) doesn’t make me like them better or does it change my experience with Volkswagen 🤷🏽‍♂️

I love my 22 Tiguan S in white. About 17,000 miles so far and no issues. I change the oil every 4000 miles

I forgot to add previously that I have a 2019 7-seater 4-wheel drive DSG Tiguan since new, and I've not had the slightest problem with it apart from replacing the wiper blades every year which I've always done with every car I've ever owned.

Two aspects of Volkswagens are very attractive. First is the 4 year, 50k mile bumper to bumper warranty. That's longer & better than that found in Toyotas, Hondas, Fords etc. Second is the standard safety features. For example, a new base Volkswagen Jetta is cheaper than a new base Toyota Corolla but the Jetta comes standard with blind spot monitoring and the Corolla doesn't!

Yes the Jetta has an 8 speed Aisin automatic, same transmission as that found in the Camry, RAV4, Highlander etc. Another way the Jetta beats the Corolla!

On the downside of the 4 yr warranty with VW: nothing is covered powertrain-wise after that. Most other vehicles give you 5 yrs/60K miles on powertrain, with Kia and Hyundai going all the way to 10 yrs/100K on powertrain, along with 5 yr/60K on bumper to bumper. I do like the classic good look of this smallish SUV, especially in white.

On the contrary VW Tiguan engine comes with the crappy short live breakable plastic brittle engine water pump that leak prematurely . Once the warranty period is over, you will keep paying for the plastic water pump replacement quite often otherwise affecting the engine cooling . Toyota and Honda are better ,the water pump are

Well, I have a 2022 VW Taos SEL 4 motion and it has the same wheels as the one you just reviewed. I have about 4K on it and when I leased it the sticker price was just over 37K if I remember correctly. Anyway, my husband hates the car so we usually use his 2023 Lincoln Corsair except when it is raining or snowing. I love your reviews and hope you keep them coming.

Just picketed up a 24 S awd. Big incentives going on right now with 1.9% for 4 yrs and another 500 off for doing it. You can expect a total of $1500-$2000 off list. Was thinking an SE but the S has everything we need and lots cheaper. Heated seats on the S is standard as well as collision and lane keeping.

@@addykumar672 Actually starting in March it became 0 percent for 60 months but maybe not the $500 incentive to finance. I also had a $500 discount from attending the chicago auto show. Over all discounts,incentives ect will /can change but in my experience VW dealerships are willing to discount (have 3). Right now is a good time to buy as dealer inventories are high so a strong incentive to make a good deal. VW website will show current incentives and certain dealers automatically knock money off at the start. There's still room to negotiate further and we did by several hundred dollars. Even got them to throw in a free sunscreen($38).

I’ve had 2018 Jetta Sport 21 Jetta RLine now have the 22 Tiguan RLine all of them are good I’m tempted to trade in the 22 for the 24 Tiguan SEL but I’m thinking to get the 25 Tiguan instead I just find this generation Tiguan is so beautiful.

Hi, so I’m choosing between Tiguan and outlander. I like the appearance and interior of the outlander but the resell value and mechanic performance of the Tiguan. Such a tough decision. Which would you pick?

I bought a 2024 tigwon. S today I traded in my 2021 S both great vehicles. I would buy the Tiguan.

Outlander does not have enough power...unless it's just you the driver and you don't regularly climb hills. I think the front end is a bit much too and you might hate it after a couple of years. This VW has a nice timeless shape to it. Smart looking.

What I’m not understanding is some 2024’s have a super updated interior with huge (too big) lcd screen and ambient lighting and then other 2024s have this interior. Anyone care to share how to get the more updated interior?

The 3rd row seating is actually a standard on the FWD models, isn't that strange? It is very small, only good for kids in a pinch. If you want AWD, there is only seating for 5.

This is an ugly car. Ugly front, no physical buttons. This model is an update of 2017/2019 model. That model Tiguan is a nice car. We bought a white R line in 2018. Still a good looking car. The 2024 model Tiguan is even more ugly. Ugly front and interior.
