*Inside The interior has the cheapest hard plastic and cheap black high-gloss surfaces, as well as constant visits to the workshop because of software problems. Some Golf 8s sit in the workshop for weeks. I was a VW Golf fan for decades. Now I'll say it clearly: Poor quality, poor choice of materials, extremely high prices (also for service) plus poor, outdated software that constantly has to be updated and customer-hostile policies at VW. Only the "look" on the outside is good Given the high price, it goes without saying* For me that means: Hundai i30 N Performance and I save €20,000. No 4WD but great.

The lack of physical buttons on the wheel is not a problem. I have no issues. The lack of physical buttons for the AC is the real problem.

Expensive vw crap no engine cover. No spacesaver spare wheel No boot cover for warning triangle No thought before releasing it to the general public. Toyota gr for me next, not this rubbish

My gr just had engine failure and now just taken delivery of golf r . Quality is not what it was but better than gr , only done 50 miles but not as grippy as gr but that might be down to tyres PS4s are great

Cannot look at anything ! but drive otherwise you'll crash . Crap infotainment system Hands on the wheel at all times. And look straight ahead Don't try to adjust things as it will try to kill you!!😢

The exterior looks old (copy pasted from previous gens). The interiors look cheap. Maybe the only thing that is good is the engine, but the other parts are not good. Oh and the price... only a clown can think to that price for this car.
