45 years as an LA session and touring player most recently with the Motown group The Miracles, and never used a pedal. Now I have tons of them! They’re fun but still never use most of them on an actual gig😂

Definitely not a necessity, BUT if I have the choice I will take some overdrive 😏🤠🎸

I remember when I brought my board to church, the audio tech was looking at everything and was like “ why do you have a distortion pedal?” I looked at him and said “ we’ll Bray has like 6”😂😂😂

Seems that you combined your "gig" board with your home/studio board (Seeing as how you seem to underutilize the Stomp). I'm kinda "stuck" in the same space. But I'm starting to split off my home/studio board and build an actual compact board for moving around. The "show me your compact pedalboard" thread on TalkBass has me jealous. It's gonna be hard to do... haha - but I gotta do it. Nice choices for gear!

Thanks man! I did the small board for years, just time to go crazy for a little bit! 😂🤠

The gain section is blended in with clean bass in the hx stomp? Great video!

Just one in, one out! Gain in front of the “amp”, no clean signal to FOH 🤠

I was going to say. I bet running this gain section through a high passed clean signal via one of the stomp’s sends would be killer.

Chorus before od/fuzz?
@brayrowleybass4 ай бұрын
Fuzz -> compression -> chorus -> OD. Might have been different in this video, but this is my usual signal path. 🤠🎸

@@brayrowleybass interesting. I always put all kinds of modulation after od/fuzz.

Source Audio OneSeries pedals are very nice with more options than I’ll ever use, especially the C4.

yeah, ive owned every variation of the oracle and im on v2. the noble is not $1000 better on the used market. also the oracle is waaay more versatile with the range and mid controls. good choice.

Worship guys are overly concerned with having boutique gear, the latest pedal, what's new, gotta get more...more...more. I don't get it.
