20240217 RC ERA C189 MD530 Dual Brushless

Love this little copter, the scale looks are amazing, flies great, very stable, beginner friendly.
There are some important tips that apply to this model:
1) Be sure to calibrate before each flight on level surface (easy, takes 2 seconds).
2) Best flown outdoors in ZERO wind!!! There have been incidences with the heli flying straight up out of sight on first flight. In the unlikely event this should happen, press and hold the stop button and this will shut the copter down before it goes too far away and gets lost. Mine never did this but 2 others I know of had this happen.
3) Repeat, especially for beginners, first flights in wide open area with ZERO wind!

Recommend people with this heli check out You Tuber Andrej Sturm. He has some great tips on this heli to do with saving trims from previous flight, using a multimode transmitter with this heli if you want, tail rotor upgrade to lower noise if desired.

Beware !...many people are suffering flyaways due to known issues with motherboard/ gyroscope... the problem has since been addressed from the factory but many remain in the market are in are being released to the unsuspecting buyer oh, and RcEra will not stand behind it ;^(

I basically tell this in the video notes. Yes, familiar with the deal where the copter just takes off straight up. I had already flown mine with no problems before I had even heard about this so it was a surprise to discover this. If RC ERA doesn't stand behind it then that's not cool. Maybe if you have one it could be tethered or prevented from flying straight up and then make a video of first time runing it up, perform calibration, then see how it goes. That way at least if something goes wrong it can be shown in video.

Ha, even if it could I wouldn't be doing it, not that adept, perhaps one day. Of course, they have the push-button-to-flip models but thats cheating 🙃
