Another great video Lawrence. Well thought out images and nice final results. It certainly is a great location.

@@russhawker1718 yeah, I've not been out since our last trip. Partly due to weather, partly due to getting 'too' involved on the video editing & learning new stuff.....its a bit like astro in a way! How are you feeling now? recovered?

many thanks Paul, much appreciated! I took a very early retirment in the summer this year, so I now have the time to put into getting out & shooting & plan to put out videos often. I'm primarily doing this for fun, but looking to grow the number of subscribers. Never know where it might lead to in 5+ years time.

@@paulwbakerphotography ah, its a new photography club set up by Thomas Heaton & Simon Baxter. I'm curious, may I ask how you found my channel? For info, I'm based in Southampton, I'm guessing you are based in the area too, judging from where your videos are predominantly on.

Hi Lawrence, I've just come across your post on the 617 Club and have watched the video. Some really nice images there... I myself am just starting to explore around the New Forest as my daughter has just started studying at Winchester. I did drive past Milliford Bridge a few times recently when in and around Bolderwood and after watching this, I need to take a closer look I think. Anyway, thanks for sharing 🙂

@@GaryNormanPhoto oh ace! This video was just me on my own, but if you look at some of my other videos in the New Forest, they have been 617 meets that we have posted in the 617 event forum. There are 5 of us who have managed to meet up so far, Russ, Larry, Barnaby, Robin & myself, and I know of at least 2 others in 617 who live in the area but have not been able to meet up yet. You will have to join us for a meet, where are you based? Where is your daughter studying? My youngest son is at Peter Symonds in Winchester.

@ what is she studying? My eldest is at Cardiff Uni. Keep a look out in the Events page for meet ups, we have been posting meets in the New Forest there, however, they have been relatively short notice, only a day or two, because of weather forecasting.

@@TheLDunn1 Hi Lawerence, Discovered it while trawling through KZbin. I'm actually from Northern Ireland but living in Asia (Thailand) at present. Doing some travel photography.

@@jimhamilton8775 Thanks for responding Jim, think most of my subscribers have a separate connection to me. I visited Thailand around 2001/2 I spent Christmas day on a bus whcih took us from Bangkok to the border with Cambodia, & then onto Siem Reap. Xmas dinner was a questionable chicken curry in a dubious 'eatery' at the side of a dry dusty dirt track. I wouldn't have missed it for the world though ;-) How long have you been in Thailand/intend to stay in Asia?
@jimhamilton87752 күн бұрын
@@TheLDunn1 Hi Lawwerence.I know from experience that some Thai food can be dubious. I travelled to meet my girlfriend and also an ex neighbour and his wife in Bangkok. I ate a bit of a Thai green curry and spent 3 days unable to leave the toilet. I am at present in Hua Sai about 40 miles from the main city Nakhon Si Thammarat. This is a rural area in the south of Thailand everything is cheaper but transportt appears to be a problem. I go to the city next week to extend my stay for 30 days. This is not a visa. You get 60 days on arrival plus 30 days extra on application. Then you leave the country and return for the same again. I have already been to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. So when this extension expires I will go to visit my brother in Bali for a couple of months. I intend to do a lot of travelling as i'm not confident for the future in the UK or Ireland.

@ you are bringing back many fond memories! We were only in Thailand a couple of weeks, as part of an 87 day, around the world trip. We just had a special airline ticket where we could make as many flights as we wanted, but, you had to keep going in one direction around the globe. So we flew from UK to Bolivia, made our way over land to Peru, flew from Lima to Mexico, went overland through Belize into Guetemala, then back into Mexico. Think we flew from North Mexico to LA, then from LA to NZ, then NZ to Singapore, then on to Vietnam, then to Thailand, overland from Thailand to Cambodia & back into Thailand. Then from Thailand to Nepal, overland from Nepal into India, and finally India back to UK. We spent around 2 weeks in each area/country we flew too. It was a fantastic experience. When we were in Thailand, I think we did a loop & visited Koh Chang, but, I’m struggling to remember now, white sands, turquoise waters anyway, paradise basically. I don’t know what you are interested in doing / seeing while you are away, but it was a big photo trip for me and we targeted the main tourist attractions. This resulted in visiting the sites of ancient civilisations a fair bit, which is ironic, because I never really enjoyed History at school that much! In my top 3 places / things we did/saw, Angkor Wat, near Siem Reap, Cambodia, where there are multiple temples of the Khmer civilisation, was in the top 3. If you have not been, I would really recommend going, you need at least two days there, possibly three. As this would be out of Thailand, you could use it to reset your visa too, and it’s only a days overland travel. I’m curious, why are you not confident about the future in the UK? What aspects are you concerned at? (I share your general sentiment though).
