2024年02月上旬 ピースの散歩 ～大宮公園小動物園のカピバラ～

2024年2月上旬の大宮公園小動物園のカピバラです。
この日は風速5mと風の強い日で、カメラを持つ手を煽られるほどでした。
でも気温は15度と暖かく、一気に春になったような日でした。
そのせいか、ピースは私が見ている限りですが、何と19回も池の外周を回って散歩していました。
こんなに池の周りを回るのを見たのは、初めてでした。

ピースがチェリーの所から移動して来ました。
この日は担当の飼育員さんが休みでおやつが来ず、食べ物を探しての散歩のようです。
さて、東屋に掛かっているカラス除けの反射板ですが、強風のため外れて落ちました。
それを見たピースは・・・、取り敢えずチェックをしていました。

後ろ姿が細く痩せて見えるのは、ピースもおじいちゃんだからかな💦

背中の肉が落ちたと言うか、垂れ下がったように見えました。コマリ達もそうでしたので、老化するとそうなるのかも知れません。

群れで生きる動物ですから仲間は欲しいと思いますが、群れの構成年齢を考えると厳しいでしょう。

Cherry was injured a long time ago. Because of her treatment, she is in isolation. Also, if you put Cherry (9 years old) and Peace (9 years old) together, they will mate, so it is impossible to put them together.

@@Ben-kh2rhGiving birth at an older age is dangerous. Also, when babies are born, people with bad manners such as feeding them foreign objects will come, so I personally think it's better not to breed them, but to get adult animals from other zoos. I don't know if zoos will continue to keep capybaras in captivity.

飼育員さんお休みならおやつ無いのですか？探してる姿可哀想😂代わりの方も大変ですが自分〜欲しいて言えないので、もう少し考慮して欲しいですね。ピースちゃん❤もチェリーちゃん❤大好き❤
