Water Rat 🙋 I am using this year to work 6 days a week and get of debt, double my client list pay my tax debt. I also will be becoming the Matriarch of my family as my horse father is nearing his death. I actually take the Emperor star as my sign to quickly overcome the loss. The easiest way of explaining this particular situation (because I have the same situation) is to check the day when the Chinese New Year started during that year because the Bazi system uses the Chinese Lunar Calendar. The New Year Zodiac sign is changed on the day of the Chinese new year calendar. So for people who are born during the cusp year, they may be a little bit confused because the day or date of the Chinese New Year always changes and is not consistent throughout the year due to the Lunar Cycles. So, if your wife is born on the days before that year particular Chinese New Year, she is still in the last Animal Sign Zodiac year. Think of it as the December of the Chinese New Year, even though the Gregorian calendar is around January or the first week of February. Usually the Chinese New Year is around the first week of February in the Gregorian calendar. I will use the year 2025 as an example because the date of the 2025 Chinese New Year is on 29th of January 2025. Any day before this date is considered to be the previous year sign which is the Dragon, while any date that is on and after this particular date (29th) is considered to be the Snake year. I checked through Google for your wife's date, and on the 8th February 1972, the year was Metal Pig Year. 14th February onward was the Water Rat Year. Hope this helps. So, that Fengshui expert in the Philippines was correct on their assessment. TLDR: Any date before the Chinese New Year of that particular year, is considered still in the last month of the previous year animal zodiac sign, while after and on the Chinese New Year of that particular year the new Animal Zodiac sign of that year takes over.
