I got the car and its just honestly the one car for everything, have the power for when you wanna have some fun and the space for when you need to move stuff. I dont understand why people dont understand that and try to make fun of it. Like a commment below tried saying you will never use the power, that goes for like almost all performance cars on the roads. How many people actually go to tracks or all that? Might as well say they shouldnt sell performance cars at all.

how do you like it overall =vs the prev gen if you have experience)? am having a hard time deciding between a 2024 x4 m40i vs the new x3 m50 due to all the negative comments on interior quality. Thanks!

@stvn-j8d i like the car overall and the drive. The interior is not horrible and doesn't really sway me. It's not leather to the wall like others, but I've never really cared for leather. I've been in plenty of other cars with plenty of leather. I personally dont like the infotainment system on the 24 and older and think it looks dated, and the steering wheel isnt to my liking. Its just my personal taste. I'd say drive both and see what you like, newer style and tech or old and dated imo. If I had the extra money I would go to the x5, think that's the best of all with tech and interior, but I'm happy with my x3.

I simply could not choose this new model over my recently purchased 24 M40i. It has more power and torque, but it is heavier. 0 - 60 time is the same according to BMW. Add to that the boring, bland new exterior and an interior full of cost cutting and a miriad of feature losses...the 24 is a higher quality, classier place to be. The minor tech advances simply aren't worth the new price tag. Constantly glad I just chose the 24. A better choice instead of the M or the 25 X50.

Methinks *M* is as much about status than anything else. It's why so many M owners are upset about M Performance cars. So, no, X3M imo is about status

I think the M vs M-Lite (do you really need an M?) still needs to be asked regardless if SUV or not. M or mlite now are stupid quick. Both M-lite and M are completely excessive, let’s be honest, you don’t need either 😂 We are breaking the speed limit in these cars all the time and bought them because we are suckers for speed. Take any non car person for a ride in even an Mlite, gun it, and they are bricking it, we’ve just got used to 350+BHP like it’s nothing 😂

Yeah M SUV's are just a status symbol 🤣. To let it be known that you spent more money. They pretty much rarely ever use all that power.

Yes Tim. Nicely put and presented. Few gripes. Shame the panoramic roof doesn’t open whatsoever. Would have been a nicer design if it was split to tilt and retract. Especially on sunny days. Headlight design looks less sexy than the modern day angel eyes twin lenses. Front grills look too XXL and the rear end rather boxy looking. But overall very sweet.
