At the end of the process all you end up with is a piling heap of junk on your floor with little to offer but alot of confusion. So much chaos but so little harmony and balance, two things we can all use more of in our lives concerning the choices we make.

Banana Republic just came out with the cutest cropped wool jacket with minimal collar and slight barrel sleeve it’s just a nod to the trend and looks very elegant in the cropped style 🎉

I agree with you on all of these. Two things in particular, what I call naked dressing is just designers being lazy. Lets be salacious and show a naked woman with a sheer fabric over her and call in creative……no lazy. The one leg pant is dumb and looks bad. Blessings

I really hope you are right on these trends being a short flash in the pan. I think of these things like a pendulum. It swings out to the furthest point...in this case some really crazy designs. But then it swings back and for a while everything is understandable and makes sense. Then we get the opposite swing. Same as in life and through history. It is a matter of living out the high swings and waiting for things to get back to the middle of the arc when life is good and makes sense again. I'm here for the big sleeves because I have big arms. I always have to size up just so the shirts or jackets can fit my arms. I have worn lingerie tops over a t-shirt or under a button shirt with the lingerie just peaking. Wrap sandals was a one and done for me when I was a teenager. To me, oversized pieces top to bottom look homeless or just lazy. I liked bows when I was younger, so now I just appreciate it on other people if they style it good. The sheer pants or the one pant leg is a no for me. Thank you for the video.❤

Ohhhh. I love barrel leg jeans and honestly am digging the barrel sleeve. I snagged a sheer/holey poncho from COS and it’s gotten its wear per purchase already. The compliments are aplenty when I wear to work. The quality is pretty decent bc I haven’t experienced any kind of loose threads or snags.

Barrel sleeves? Hello 1500's leg of mutton sleeves! OMG, yes, I need a tight knit because I am the snag queen! It is so horrible to ruin a sweater with a snag I try to avoid that at all costs. Good observation on the gladiator sandals! Oversized fit from top to toe? It looks like carrying your bed around with you! Totally agree that some of the "demure" looks you showed, (specifically, the more historical looking pieces), would be aging on a woman over 50! Great video!

Hello darling,...maybe I've lost my mind,but I've always love a statement sleeve:so I'm in definitely with the oversized sleeves;I'm on board !!The lingerie ,I'll do a not too sheer gown,over a pair of denim!! I love demure dressing....but I prefer to add my little edge to the mix;to stur it up a bit more to taste!!Bring on the oversized clothing...especially blazers and jacke,and of course coats!!While I'm on that I'll add an oversized blazer to the sheer pants you mentioned ;just to make sure it covers my butt,and 3/4,of my long legs....you know edgy ,but cautiously edgy!!!Thank you for always being on top of things,I really love your channel.Happy holidays,all my love you wonderful soul!!😊

I absolutely agree on the no's. Clowns could wear it and would serve a purpose, but only them. Most clothes worn on the catwalk just seem to provoke, not ready to be worn by "ordinary" people. But in the end: it's your life and style.

Where I live in country Queensland we have such a large proportion of the population wearing what I've been calling "modest" clothing... So the demure is an upgrade 😂 the skant reminds me of the skort.

As usual, you're absolutely spot on, except for barrel leg pants. At 5'3", and a little more curvy, I think I will have to pass. Most of the trends you mentioned have nothing to do with age. They are just plainly ridiculous for day to day wear on anyone. Merry Christmas!

For the barrel leg jeans, you need thin legs to see the shape. On me it wouldn't be flattering on my thicker thighs. I am embracing barrel sleeves and sheer sweaters. I worry sheer pants would be too delicate to sit in since it could snag on anything.

I mean that one leg s pants it’s like someone just torn one side 😳🤪😂😱 So I agree with most lingerie style can be pull off with long jacket or sweater but really long like mini dress long that’s how I will wear or over the pants . Demure I kind of in the middle. Most of the time absolutely edgy must, but sometimes I do feel like wearing something cute demure. I recently wore kind of A line a few inches above knee cooler pink short sleeve dress. Very minimal pink makeup and little heel black mules. I felt very good. I actually look so much younger. Everyone but my hubby loved it. My hubby said that I looked too young in that dress. I will probably get something demure from Chanel lol I just got rid of most of it, and now I want something demure again😳🤪😂😂

Someone recommended body tape for the sandal straps to prevent them from sliding down the leg. I haven't tried it as my legs would look like a xmas gammon.

The catwalk and fashion collections seem a bit … costume party anticipating. And while I’m interested in dressed up, comfy alternatives to jeans and tee, none of this hits the mark for me. I will watch for how the barrel sleeve gets incorporated for the non-costume party crowd. I’m almost convinced on the barrel leg trouser! They “could” change my mind on the sleeves. 🤔

Why do you assume it's exclusively men who want women to dress modestly? If "tHe PaTriArChY" was so concerned with shushing women, wouldn't they have better things to do besides design clothes that actually cover your body? It's such lazy thinking like yours and tacky design choices that only prioritize the display of flesh as some sort of insult to an imaginary overruling class instead of using shapes, draping, and textures as a means of creative design, communication and artistry. It almost seems like a mental illness because you talk about it so much! And you're not even that old! I'm 64 years old and I, literally, never ask myself if I'm "too old" to wear something. I wear whatever I like including mini-skirts, short shorts, bikinis, bodycon or whatever and I always get loads of compliments!!
