Fiat is set to continue the legacy of its iconic Panda 4x4 with a rugged new version of the 2025 Fiat Grande Panda. This all-new model aims to combine the practicality of a city car with enhanced off-road capabilities. With both electric and hybrid powertrains under consideration, Fiat enthusiasts eagerly await the official announcement.
Fiat’s CEO, Olivier Francois, has confirmed that the Grande Panda 4×4 is already in development. However, it remains undecided whether the vehicle will feature a fully electric or hybrid powertrain. Given the history of all three previous generations of the Fiat Panda offering 4×4 variants, Fiat is committed to maintaining this tradition.
The new Grande Panda will be positioned in the competitive supermini segment, going head-to-head with the Citroen C3. Built on the Smart Car platform, the standard Grande Panda currently supports front-wheel drive only. Engineers are exploring ways to introduce all-wheel drive capabilities, possibly by adding an electric motor to the rear axle, as seen in the mild-hybrid Jeep Avenger 4Xe and Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida Q4.
