I had a 76 Capri ll. I bought it new from the local Lincoln/Mercury dealer.. Shortly after purchasing. I lowered the suspension and installed a Turbo to give the 2.8 L some boost The car was awesome. Depending on the Cost. I'd definitely entertain purchasing this one That is, if it's available here in the U S.

As an ex classic Capri owner I have always had a soft spot for the car & recreating an old classic rarely ever works & looks nother like it's predecessor......until now that is, & wow what a beauty?. It's like an optical illusion, looking at the front end especially the bonnet area & it is total Capri, it's such a clever design, to keep that iconic original shape at the same time as it slowly changes to a muscle car takes total skill, whoever designed this was born to design cars. I haven't read all the ins & outs about it yet but I am gutted to learn (if true)? that it's electric powered, end of. What a let down if it is. Has Ford come up with a new lithium free battery design & not told the rest of us!?. Probably not. After seeing, first hand at a battery testing centre, the volatile lithium is still doing it's worst in the fire department & until battery build is remedied & much safer this outstanding looking remake will not make it on my fleet list, that space will be filled by another beauty, the well over priced Aston Martin. Good job though Ford, I wonder if Vauxhall will try something similar with their Magnum??.

Had a 2006 mercury CAPRI done it up with side skirts and velvet headliner nice red interior had the v6 estimate 200 horsepower.all around nice sold it to my brother who still has it with around 80000 km.love the new style probably named ford because there is no mercury I don’t think.

Mandatory handling mod in the trunk was a bag of sand in the boot, old days. Not that it was tail happy or anything. Some used a breeze block, but it dented the hell out of the boot, as it tried to escape if not tied down.
