Beautiful car good value for money now that its has 2.5T.
@i.d.64928 ай бұрын
I honestly don't mind. The car is great. It already offers more features than any other competition for the price. The Acura no where near is good. Especially if you look at tlx type S. It's more sporty, the rougher driving, brembos only on the front wheels, it's fwd biased, it has just as small rear leg room, small sunroof and it's slower. G70 3.3t is great tuned.
@MeynMotorGroup8 ай бұрын
You have to drive this stuff back to back and look beyond mainstream spec reading to get it which I understand is impossible for the average person to do. But congratulations on your purchase and God Bless.
@onlinethuggin4 ай бұрын
own both and can tell you the type s tlx handles better and feels way more planted on corner at very high speeds and feels much better in speeds in excess of 130mph. Also the exhaust note on the type s is incredible where as the stock g70 exhaust on my 3.3 sounds horrid. However in terms of tech, safety features, top speed and acceleration the g70 wins easily. I think in terms of styling for my personal preference my tiger eye pearl type s looks much better and is a head turner compared to my g70 literally compliments everytime i drive the type s. the g70 maybe only one or two compliments since owning it.
@i.d.64924 ай бұрын
@@onlinethuggin because type S was made with more of performance in mind while G70 is more for luxurious drive with sporty touch. Trust me if they wanted to make G70 for performance they would have easily done it, and done it better than Acura did with Integra Type S. Additionally, all you have to do is swap to performance coil overs and stiffen suspension slightly and you have a better car. The G70 looks luxurious while Type S looks sporty with the front bumper and little wing in the back. Two different takes. However I'd still choose the 3.3T engine. Way more potential

@onlinethuggin if you give a shit about cornering you wouldn't get a FWD boaty Acura. You'd get a car that can actually corner. Lol

The electric is way expensive. I’m not on board with EV. Who wants to worry about finding a charging station?

The car is meant to be reliable. Genesis can make the car fast out the box if they wanted. The magma spec's are more than enough proof, but they haven't for what seems likely to be a differential factor from those that are quick but have a reputation to be unreliable maintenance wise. Not every car is meant to wet your face with top performance and blistering speed, or carve canyons like they're drawing calligraphy, if they are, the Genesis brand is definitely in its own lane. For those who want the super oriented performance, they know where to get them. But don't frown when a small tune and some bolt ons on the Gennys outperforms the performance oriented, wet mouthed, blistering speed with the maintenance reliability issues ones.

So essentially they just re-badged the 2024 as 2025. The 2024 models were not out for 6 months before they slapped the 2025 label on them. Genesis has slapped the car to the side. They are putting alot of effort into their other cars, the G70 feels left out and forgotten... I mean heck, it still doesn't even have something as simple as ambient lighting, which comes on literally every vehicle in the Hyundai lineup, which isn't the luxury line... Genesis needs to step up their game with this car or just kill it off. Or make it into a coupe
@MeynMotorGroup8 ай бұрын
Don’t worry, this is def on its way out they don’t take this car seriously and neither do the consumers based on the sales figures but I do love this brand and other products they build because they are focused on luxury, even their EVs are great if you want a performance car from Genesis, I surprisingly enjoyed their GV60 more but I get it Evs don't work for everyone.

@@MeynMotorGroup if they made this car into a dedicated sports car to complete with like the M2 or M3 I feel like sales would skyrocket. I'd trade mine in in a heartbeat cause I'm sick of the German cars. Overpriced and have gotten stale

@@CyberSkunk90 yea this company doesn't do performance well. When Genesis doubles down on luxury, it's amazing but performance is always half baked. Competitors marry together performance and comfort a lot better with less compromise

@@MeynMotorGroup Where do you get your stats from? The 2023 TLX sold 16,000 units. The Genesis G70 sold 13,000 units. Not exactly " nobody buys these". You complain about the G70 AWD when the Audi and Acura TLX Type S are also AWD. The G70 is faster with a much better interior than the Acura. Lastly, nobody has a better warranty than Genesis. I hit a pothole with my 2022 G70 3.3 and cracked and bent the wheel. Genesis paid 100% labor and wheel $1,400 US. Lease runs out in August. Expect to buy another G70.
@MeynMotorGroup8 ай бұрын
@@geoffreysimpson3286 congratulations my friend on your new vehicle purchase and for saving my time and proving my point by brining up those low sales figures. Yes the G70 AWD sucks because it is half baked and does not perform well, TLX Type S, Audi Quattro, BMW xDrive are the best AWD systems with no compromise and perfectly linear driving experience, hence why there is no complaints and only praise with those competing vehicles. I understand you’re not a reviewer and you have not had significant seat time in thousands of different vehicles so hopefully this now makes sense to you. At the end of the day, as long as you’re happy with your purchase, that’s all that matters. Just keep in mind you experience these vehicles in a vacuum so every new car feels amazing to you but journalists are able to compare and contrast every nuanced difference. God Bless!
