I wasn’t expecting much from this years bikes. But the addition of the 117 ci engine across the softail line was a good change. Other than that it was kind of what I expected.

HD corporate in their infinite wisdom closed a lot of smaller dealerships. Our local dealer in the Kootenays in BC was one such dealer. That now means a 5-7 hour drive depending on which dealer you chose. New bike means dealership visits for warranty, service,recalls etc for at least a year. Add those costs to the ridiculous price of a new bike. You do the math. Shout out to Robin and Rene at Rebel Cycle in Cranbrook BC for looking after the local HD community.

And maybe you mentioned that they have changed the method with that. I love those colours, new colours and that is something that is the most interesting every year. Technically changes are smaller. I am glad they have the Ultra with, Harley is a touring bike for some of us. Road king confuses, why leave it behind others? Greetings from Finland, soon we got february beginning! I see that the Breakout got rid of that Chinese lantern style headlight, so that's a good thing. When I first saw a picture of the new Fat Boy I wondered why they would put an Indian Motorcycle emblem on the tank. lol The LowRider went to a 2 into 1 exhaust so that the bags on the ST could be the same height on each side of the bike rather than the bag on the right side being smaller to clear the 2 into 2 exhaust like on earlier models. That's why all H-D baggers don't have 2 pipes running down the right side of the bike. If they did, the right bag would have to be smaller and that makes the bike look lopsided when looking at it from the rear. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Fat Boy. Great video!

@canadiansa1nt309 turns out fat boy got modes and tire pressure monitors. I have a Nightster S and it has navigation. I would like to see some sort of connectivity in the fat boy . I know I may get some back lash for that.

HD rider/owner since the 70's. Just bought a new to me M8 Fat Bob. Was kind of hoping they'd bring that model back with an update. Not surprised the Softail Standard is gone but it signals the end of the entry level Big Twin, which is a shame. The Superglide (Shovel, EVO and TC) were all great starting points for building your own custom. Am not a fan of the Fat Boys but did run one of the original front fenders on an FLH at one time as I liked the look. But, I have to say I don't comprehend the Breakout or current Fat Boy. Not sure who the target audience is for those bikes. The Breakout in particular looks almost unrideable and is over the top in looks to my eye. I hope they do well with the new Pan Am ST. I was anticipating a more road going version of that bike and it's pretty cool. The new "Sportsters", sorry. If I wanted a smaller liquid cooled cruiser there are cheaper and better (looking) options. The constant push of more gaudy cosmetics across the range over shadows the technical advances of the bikes. HD's at one time were more substance over show. That's a shame. Overall, nothing I'd buy even if I could afford one.

The Fat Boy looks like a Standard with some additional trim. Why would they mess with the popular Fat Boy? Also what's with the short front fenders? Does anyone get caught in the rain? My Heritage Classic has a front fender to die for.

Bumping all the bikes up to the 117 was ok. They should have left the 114 as standard and made the 117 an up charge to give people the opportunity to into a bike for a cheaper price. I like the old style round air cleaner on the Fat Bob and the Heritage. That new 117 air cleaner is ugly as hell. I realized yesterday that they put an Indian logo on the Fat Boy tank. Disgusting. I was really hoping they would bump the Road King Special to the 117 and come out with a Road King Classic with the 114 and those leather style bags. Keeping the 114 and the Rushmore style tank and bags makes me think it’s going to be cancelled when they run out of that old equipment. Price increases, ridiculous upcharges for paint, getting rid of entry level priced bikes; Harley is just committing slow suicide.

Harley Davidson dropped the ball on the 2025 “Breakout & 2025 Fat Boy & Road King Special” models engine upgrade displacement . Those three bikes should’ve been upgraded to the 121 high output or the 135 high-performance engine Those bikes are some Boulevard brute/bruisers that deserve high output big engine displacement

I could see the Breakout getting the high output. I actually thought it would. The Roadking should have got the 117 in my opinion. I’m ok with the Fatboy just having the 117 upgrade.

It’s such a shame as a Road king owner that they don’t even care about the best looking bike in their lineup anymore. They are putting everything into the baggers and low riders. Last year was the kings 40th and not a peep.

As many folks said it's all about the touring nowadays, so maybe Harley it's getting rid of those older engine cases on a bike that many people is asking for. This would result on ending their stock & on the near future upcharge a bike that again many guys are waiting but with what Harley may say it's a mind blowing innovation to the king when it may finally happens. Just a personal take on into the matter, either way the king definitely deserves a spothlight
