I know you might think these bikes don’t really belong in the same class, and that I should be comparing the Hornet to the Z1000, but since the Z1000 hasn’t been updated since 2014 (over 10 years ago!), it wouldn’t be a fair matchup against the brand-new Hornet. On the other hand, the differences between the Z900 and Hornet aren’t huge. Both have inline-4 engines, similar displacement, and are in the same price range. So, this comparison is really more about helping you decide which naked bike to go for under £10,000.

@Vincenzo911Ай бұрын
Z1000 got a slipper clutch in 2016 and new rear suspension Euro4 and gear indicator in 2017 ... Also the R model came out in 2017. But even if that's similar on paper, that's a totally different philosophy. The Z1000 has no electronics on purpose, it's the "Sugomi" spirit , it's just you and the bike ⚔️

Unless buyer is a die-hard kawi or only wants a green color bike, otherwise I cannot get a single point or scenario where you need to choose z900 over cb1000. Honda indeed wins this competition in every aspect, literally, every way

Low end torque will be better on daily riding rather than high end torque/hp.
@Stratocasterhead51Ай бұрын
If you look at it from purely performance. Yes Honda wins. Ironically, anywhere else, kawasaki is better. Fit and finish looks a lot better on new z900. Switch gear looks very clean and crisp. New TFT screen looks a lot better on z900. More electronics (especially cruise control) make daily riding far more enjoyable. IMU is a good safety feature. New z900 engine is supposed to be very fuel efficient (can be very useful if you daily ride) I think you have to try them out to see how they fare. Wouldnt be surprised if they felt very similar in normal riding. In europe the prices are pretty much identical between the z900 and hornet.
@marabiofitsialnyy3530Ай бұрын
@@Stratocasterhead51 in depends on what country u are in, bcus brands like suzuki is a favorite on othe middle east countries and some countries favorites are yamaha, so if kawasaki is the popular one in ur country then u would think kawasaki is better.

Just asking how loud and buffeting is a naked bike such as these when riding between 100km per hour and 130
@Stratocasterhead51Ай бұрын
@@SomewhereInside Loud. Buffetting isnt necessarily more severe than on bikes with windscreens. Put it this way, if you have to do a lot of motorway riding, get earplugs and a quiet helmet (neotec, schuberth) and it will make things a lot better.

Im pretty sure the hornet does not have a seperate wheelie control function. Its tied into the traction control. Which is a bummer. Its really nice to have lift control seperate, so you can keep your traction control active, and still do wheelies without interference.
