This is the most in-depth review on this new civic that I’ve seen so far, well done!🚗

I'm in the process of buying this exact vehicle and I've been watching a ton of videos on it. This video was by far the BEST technical review and explanation of features and how to use them that I've seen yet. Many thanks, great job!

It would be nice to see more driving impressions, brake pedal feel, how it feels when going to Engine Drive Mode and back to HV mode, EV noise inside and outside, noise insulation, how long it drives EV before going to HV, real mpg test, pedals on steering wheel, 0-60 test, audio system impression, long drive seat comfort, how it drives in mountain climb roads, how good rain auto-sensing, how goor auto beam, night look, sport trim vs touring trim value comparison. Thank you!

I waited through the whole thing to see you discuss the regenerative braking paddles on the steering column, since you were so thorough with everything else. If you can give an update, that would be great. I am trying to decide between a 2025 Civic Hybrid Sport Touring, a 2024 Corolla Hybrid (AWD), and a 2024 Elantra Hybrid Limited. I was beginning to lean toward this Civic but another video mentioned the need to use the regenerative braking paddles everytime stopped which just sounds tedious.
@CarTechInsider973 ай бұрын
Hi Sorry about that I did go over that on my first take before we I got a interrupted and cut the video and I forgot to go over it again on the final take since I got confused so I am sorry about that. So I sold a 2025 Honda Civic Sport to one of my clients and I followed up with him 2weeks after to ask what MPG he got and he told me he was at 50 MPG and I ask if he used the Regenerative Braking Paddles and he said no but he was going to try to use them this whole week and tell me is he get more ot the same. Since the Hybrid adapt to your driving habit to give you the best mpg possible without you needed to use the paddles unless you want to get the most possible. but once I hear back from him next week. I will let you know what the results are. sorry again for skipping that part

I had a 2024 Elantra Limited hybrid for 5 months until it got rear-ended and totaled. I picked up the sports touring civic about a week ago and was happy I was able to make the switch. Couldn't give any input on the corolla because I have never driven one of the new ones. You were curious about the paddle shifters for fuel economy. I have put a little over 1k miles on the civic so far and have tested out using them and not. It does get a little bit better gas mileage using them, but it's hardly noticeable.
@rafawojcik30113 ай бұрын
I've been driving it daily for nearly 2 years in EU, you don't have to use the paddles at all, that's more of a thing of convenience. One thing is important about the paddles regarding mountain driving - if you have a a long steep descent you'd need to use paddles to save on brakes, eventually they'll top up the battery and then the engine hops on so you can engine-break, driving through the swiss alps it absolutely saved my brakes as I didn't have to use them pretty much at all, only to full stop/emergency brake.
@pi.actual2 ай бұрын
The paddles are very intuitive and it doesn't take long to get used to them. If you are on a twisty mountain road you can go into sport mode and if you set max regen it will stay there and the car will behave as if it is in a lower gear so you will not have to use the brakes at every curve. In normal and econ modes the regen mode resets to off when you go back on the accelerator pedal so you use them when approaching a stop or when on a descent to control your off throttle speed.

@@angelasmr8818 Maybe Accord is different. If either ACC or LKA are selected it will show. If both are off it doesn't show. Do you see the lane lines? If so you have one or both of them turned on.

Great car, but too many little thing are missing that made me change my mind about buying this car. There is no spare tire which is rediculous! No one is going to sit on the side of the road and patch up a tire! And if you do, and drive even a short distance on that tire, it ruins the tire and it has to be replaced! Also, there is no height adjustment for the passenger seat and you sit too low, ANOTHER SCREW UP! Also, there are no rear vents or USB ports! Honda really dropped the ball! They lost at least one sale! I'm going to spend six thousand dollars less for a beautiful Kia Soul, which isn't as powerful, but gives me all the things that are missing AND a viewing screen that is two inches bigger than the Civic!

Imo the interior is pretty outdated for a 2025. If they took out the honeycomb air vent it would look like a 2018 maybe 2020. Honda can do better but yet they are still the most reliable cars.
